Heimdall sucks anyway- someone had a youtube review showing it's Star Wars like articulation- I dont think it's shoulders were even balljoints.

Quinten182 I bought the Sif off ebay where they cliamed to have had about 100 in stock at one time.

the listing said nothing about a pre order but at the time they said they didnt have it in stock after i had bought it and emailed them just to confirm. it was 2 weeks before they said they had shipped it (i had to email them though, they didnt contact me)

they arent great at emailing to be honest but they get there in the end.

they said that i should have received it by now. they claim she got lost in the post and said i can either have a refund or they will send another when they get more in stock (which should be today aparently) time will tell. im not holding my breath

and i didnt realize people were bidding for heimdall to go that high, i just assumed it was a filthy scalper. my bad.

Cool- I was just giving my recollection there.
That was the review that turned me off of getting this fig- no swivel arms? Not even a wrist swivel? No waist or mid-torso swivel either...

If I saw him on clearance or something, maybe...but not for the money he goes for online.

I'd be willing to pay up to $25 for him online. Maybe $30 if I saw it in person. But I'd rather get it retail and I don't want to go dropping $100 on it... ugh.

Meanwhile, at Hasbro...
"Sir, we need to begin planning the wave arrangments for the Avengers toy line."
"Ah, yes. Of course. Hmm..."
"Sir?"
"Ok, here's what we're going to do: Wave one will be Iron Man, Thor, Captain and Captain America, both movie and comic version. We'll have four of each in every case, and then one Loki."
"Uh, sir, I-"
"Then in the second wave, we'll release repaints of Iron Man and Captain America, and we'll throw in Hawkeye as a shortpacked figure."
"Sir, I-"
"Wave three... more repaints for the kids. I'm think Stark Racing Team Thor."
"SIR-"
"Wave 4, we'll have Agent Coulson, Black Widow, and a new Nick Fury. But we'll cancel that wave, and it'll only be available online as a preorder for a limited time. Alright, take that list downstairs and tell em to make it happen. Chop chop."
"... yes sir."

Tsk tsk, all that planning and not a single Hulk figure. Looks like I won't be buying ANY Avengers figs then, screw you Hasbro!!

despite the lack of articulation the sculpt and paint aps are awesome! and well worth the retail price. I wish he really had more arm/wrist articulation to hold the sword better, but of course Hasbro can't make a perfect figure, it'd damage their reputation.... and I agree with the above HASBRO rant ^ they always save the best for last and a whole bunch of bs we don't want that floods the shelves and pegs. The figures we all want are normally the odd 1/case instead of evenly distributing them, and then cancelling waves is not unlike Hasbro, ex Mandarin wave.

I've never seen one in the wild.

On a related note; I just found Fandral at Target today completing my Warrior's 3!

Yay-me!

I really need to stop coming into these threads. Seeing that there's actually areas that made it past wave one are really starting to depress the heck out of me,lol.

I agree but not as much has no wrist swivel, such a bad ass figure and sword and he can't even hold it right while it's in the base. I think the helmet is awesome and really doesn't need to be removable as he has it on the whole time in the movie. I wish Odin had a helmet.

I'm having the same problem with only finding Thor Wave 1. Saw one helmeted Thor from the second wave at Rite-Aid, sadly at the Rite-Aid price of $12.

What worries me more is that a lot of the stores around here are clearancing out Thor Deluxes. Saw them for $3 at Wal-Mart, naturally already picked clean of Frost Giants. I'm not optimistic about ever seeing Heimdall.

I'd love to get through just one year of collecting without having to hope I can pick up the proverbial spare at Ross/Marshall's/TJ Maxx...

Inevitably, these figures will make it to retail - whether large stores or discount. Hasbro won't let them sit in warehouses forever. I'm surprised that the IM2 figures haven't hit discount stores yet, but I guess they are hoping they will eventually sell through. Or maybe we will see them at Marshalls closer to Christmas. It is too soon to see Thor figures at discount but I'm certain these were made so eventually they will get sold - one way or another.

What we've seen with GI Joe is that "international exclusives" usually become "discount exclusives" given time.

Transformers is largely the same deal, with some of the rarer end-of-the-assortment stuff showing up there too. I've seen practically zero IM2 regular figures or MU stuff, so I hope there's not some reason they can't go to discount...

I found Iron Man at Ross today. Deluxe figures, the big vehicle, and a normal figure card with the action figure gone.
