If they were TMNT they'd be out next month. Otherwise, as with all Ultimates it'll be 10 years from now.

Seems pretty obvious at this point they have zero intention of doing Kit and Kat. Even barely in the show characters are getting figures over them.

I’m in for that Snarf! Mongor looks super cool but I have no idea who he is. I’ll probably just get Snarf this wave, but all the characters look great.

Lol,people conveniently forgetting (or wanting to acknowledge) that Super7 delivered on wave 5 TC within like 7 months time.
But, regardless, I'm totally out anyway (freedom!). Snarf being $55 doesn't sit well with me and dont want to support them anymore basically.

Snarf seems to be way more articulated than I expected him to be, or at the very least he has good head range

I paid 45 for Pinnochio so not too far off.. though pinnochio came with better and more accessories..I think.

Production for this figure is great compared to this gross sculpt.

I can see them as wave 8. They are the last of the A-list Thundercats now. Throw in a couple different Berbils and Hachiman voila, wave 8! I think pricing might be an issue. I prefer the idea of a two-pack like the original Matty version. Put them at their deluxe Mumm-ra/Monstarr price point.

Still other characters to do though, like alternate Hammerhand, the other Berserkers. Though I can see a lot of people calling it quits with the kittens.

PO'd all of wave 7. I think they did a great job with the face sculpts.

I vaguely recall Brian saying in an interview that they had planned out to wave 10 with Thundercats. Not that they’re stopping there, that is just how far out they’ve worked on it. I can understand spreading out Snarf, Kit, and Kat. Kind of wish Snarf was bundled with Snarfer though. Berbils better be a multipack.

I hope we start finally getting Lunataks. And while the designs on Ratar-o and Mongolian are cool, wish they kept cranking out the Berserkers.

Snarf and Ralph Wiggum fighting for first place in the biggest rip off from Super7 yet. If I was a rich man I would be all over the Thundercats line, maybe one day I will, but it would mean all other figures would have to take a back seat with my current budget, I’ve got my fingers in a lot of pies at the minute and I’m not currently prepared to sacrifice growing my other collections to get on this. So far I’ve only got Hook Mountain Lion-O, and I do really like it.

I have a question though for anyone who can answer it, Super7 ultimates are pricey, there’s no denying that, and I was always under the impression that they were costly because they were made to order, that was the justification, so why is it these things are everywhere? I’m grateful they are don’t get me wrong, if I ever do jump on I can avoid scalpers, but what’s the deal here?

They're made to order whatever people buy direct from S7 and what retailers buy. They're everywhere because retailers (many comic shops and small guys on Amazon/eBay too) saw the success of the first wave of TMNT, then they put in big orders of EVERYTHING. So they're hanging around now for under MSRP on Amazon etc and Entertainment Earth was doing 3 pack deals.

55 bucks for Snarf? Yeah right. I have to check if I have any other Super 7 pre-orders but I think I am done with them.

With all the original talk about Snarf being too expensive at $55 while Ratar-O costing $65 for being larger, Super7 lowered Ratar-O to $55... At least it evens out the wave cost as it does appear Ratar-O is the least popular Mutant of Plun-Darr, yet if Snarf would have been cheaper, I would have been more tempted to buy 2.

Despite $55, Snarf is a must have for me, top of the list. I got into the ThunderCats line with Mattel and have been playing the long game and have Wilykit & Wilykat so Snarf is the last one I need to complete the core ThunderCats cast. I only replaced Mattel's Pumyra with Super7's version and don't see Super7 making better Thunder Kittens.

Willa is a suprise and Awesome!
Really hoping to see her Warrior Maiden Sister Nayda soon in a following wave along with Berbils!

Ratar-O is the final Mutant of Plun-Darr to complete. I'll happily add him to the collection.

Mongor is an interesting character, I'm glad to see more LJN releases in Super7's Animated version.

Wave 7 was a full no skip preorder for me.
I only skipped the repaints and alternate takes for now. At $50+ I don't have a need for red or blue Lion-O or a Mumm-Ra in disguise.
The Wave 6 LJN homages I only feel slightly tempted by a Lion-O to keep in the box.

Whilst you have a point about off setting the cost by picking up Mongor and Ratar-O, it only works if you intend to get those figures, I would wager that Super 7’s lines have more cherry pickers than other companies, or is at least up there with top lines for cherry picking, due to the cost, to be a completist on this line would mean parting with a lot of cash, well over a thousand pounds now, nearly over two thousand if you lump in the Thundertank, Snarf is absolutely a cherry pick, Super7 know this, the only decent thing to do here would be throw in another figure with him, or just lower the price tag, but I genuinely don’t ever expect Super7 to do anything decent for their customers, seems their company policy is let’s take the piss as much as we possibly can. That being said, this Snarf is a really nice figure, not $55 nice, but nice all the same.

They unwittingly lowered the price. According to Brian Flynn recently, Rataro was supposed to be $65. Someone made a mistake with the $55 price, he wasn't even aware of it and they're just going to let it stick.
I think going forward though, its likely bigger characters like Cruncher and Demolisher (at least I remember Demolisher as being big) are going cost more than $55.
And by then who knows lol...maybe base price of Ultimates creeps up a little again and those bigger characters are $80 now lol.

For casual buyers, completing the core ThunderCats would most likely include Snarf.

A $55 Super7 Figure would have cost $32.31 back in 1986 (170.23% inflation per officialdata.org)
ThunderCats figures catalog prices;
Jcpenney 1986: $4.99, Berserkers $9.99,
Sears 1987 $6.99 and $9.99 per "set of 2 companions" (Wilykat & Wilykit, Snarf & Mamutt)
Toys R Us 1986 $4.97
(Sears was overpriced on companions. In the Netherlands basic was around fl.19.99 and companions fl.9.99)

Basically with the same money back in 1986 you can buy 6 figures from LJN vs 1 from Super7...

Back when Super7 charged $35 per figure it seemed more reasonable but still almost a double increase coming off mattycollector's $20...

Wow you really did your maths, fair play. I have no issue with higher end figures costing more, like Mondo are pricey, but the figures they make are big and are really detailed and just something special, I genuinely don’t think Super7 have released a product yet that has made me think it’s worth the £55 price tag, and when they do, like Kodus and Kang for example because those guys are huge, they bump up the price, just making the figure not worth the price tag again. At some point in the future I probably will jump on this line, at least for the core characters, but it would be begrudgingly, and only because I really want some articulated Thundercats figures, still got my fingers crossed that someone else gets the license and produces better figures at a more reasonable cost.

It figures the lowered price was unwittingly. At least they won't hike it up. I'm sure they are aware of Snarf's price backlash.
It's not doing the line any favors.
I doubt Thundercats will be around to see a price increase to $80 for deluxe oversize.

I completely agree the figure is not worth the price tag, unfortunately my nostalgia took over as both Thundercats and TMNT were huge for me back in the 80s and I do really like the new aesthetics, so much so that I'm willing to sell some of my vintage collection to fund these...
Looking at other lines like MOTUC, playing the waiting game might have the figure prices double to quadruple. In time the prices will go down I'm sure as demand will drop once we pass the retirement age (looking at the old Marx sets etc).
All these companies riding high over nostalgia of 80s and 90s kids seems like a swansong.
I do believe this is it for action figures as technology such as 3D printing keeps advancing and these prices are not sustainable.
As a parent I will not buy action figures of questionable quality over $20... The younger generation will have less and less attachment to action figures which began with Videogames.
