I have Batman and joker….so this is damn tempting….I’m honestly more concerned about my ability to properly display this with the limited space I have rather than the price tag.

With Hot Toys revisiting 1989 Batman and releasing an updated version if the figure along with the Batmobile again, I wish they'd finally do Pfeiffer Catwoman.

Are these straight re issues?
I have the original batmobile. Is this improved? Batman looks to have extra face mouth so they added something. |

Batmobile is $715 on Sideshow, Regular Batman $279, Deluxe (with diorama stand) $345.
I'm actually a bit surprised that the Batmobile is so "cheap" - I was expecting $900+, to be honest. I'm in. I remember the last one and just couldn't swing it, but with a year+ notice, I can this time. My big purchase this year was the sixth scale Jabba, so next year it will be this one. Haven't decided between the Batman regular/deluxe - waiting to see what the stand looks like. The video monitors in the background of some of the pics is really cool - the little fine print says "collectables sold separately" - I'm very curious if that shows up as well. |

went ahead and pre-ordered on Sideshow, even with the $20 shipping.

I am so glad that Hot Toys is offering 1989 Batman again. I'm not missing out this time, and I think the prototype looks better than ever.
About the Batmobile. Guys, seriously, don't go for the Hot Toys version of the vehicle. The length is too short and it looks stubby. Gather up a few more bucks and get the Jazzinc Dioramas version. It is properly scaled and officially licensed. Those guys really know their stuff when it comes to 6th scale. 6th Scale BATMOBILE 6th Scale BATWING Last edited by User897; 02-14-2023 at 11:34 PM.. |

I ordered the Batmobile locally, so I won't have to pay shipping - but even if you order through Sideshow directly and have to pay shipping, you are looking at like a little over $800. Shipping for the Jazz one is as much as Batman himself, so to get that in the US is going to cost almost $1800. The Jazz version is about 4" longer, so those 4" cost in the neighborhood of $250 additional for each inch...there are only a few things I'd pay that much per inch for, and they aren't going to be shipped in a box. Don't get me wrong, the Jazz version is amazing, and more power to folks who are getting one - it's not that it's not worth the price, it's just the value proposition for most of us (I'd rather have 3 new Hot Toys figures for the price of those extra few inches). |

Once I saw how short the Hot Toys Stubbymobile was, I couldn't unsee it. If I were able, I would definitely go for the Jazzinc. I'm just glad to have a shot at Batman himself.

Been looking at some pics a bit more. I’m not sure about the cape, still. I never owned one, either, but it probably looks and feels better in hand. It does seem to have better range of articulation in the thighs. In one pic, he can lift his leg all the way up.

As cool as the Jazzinc Batmobile is, that’s a hefty price tag for a few extra inches and features. The Hot Toys does well enough. Unless you’re showing it off to a hardcore eagle eyed fan, the difference will go virtually unnoticed. That Batwing, though. Drool…
Happy to see the 89 Bat and Batmobile getting some attention again. Missed them the first time around. Would be nice to see Joker again, too. |
