Interesting that they went with the Sonar suit first and not the panther one.

I have such a nostalgic love for this movie that I may just have to bite even though I’ve already spent way more than I can afford on figures. I hope the duo’s POs are spaced apart otherwise I’ll be in trouble.

Is it me or does Batman's head look way too small?

Well the Sonar suit was used in all of the marketing material for that film so its arguably more recognizable "the Forever" suit to the average viewer. I could also see Hot Toys thinking the panther suit is a touch too close to what the Burton suits looked like and wanted to do the more different looking of the two.

I don't really venture into 1/6th, but this may break me. How much do you think the pair of these will run? (I'm almost afraid to even ask...)

Probably in the $250 range each, give or take a few dollars depending on accessories.

Ooh, watching this as a kid, I remember thinking it was the most bad ass movie ever!! Pretty much the movie that introduced me to Batman. Pretty tempting....

I have the hot toys dark knight Batman and joker as well as the Tim burton Batman and joker. I was hoping to see the long coming Batman returns figures but I will be biting on these. I loved forever. I hope for two-face and riddler as well. These are a must. I don’t care who you are, how can you say no to Val’s lips.

I can't believe all positive reminiscing in this thread in regards to Batman Forever. That shit movie and it's sequel are what killed the Batman franchise for almost a decade.

Yes, It did, but for many people it was the gateway drug into comics, because it was the only thing in the theater regarding "heroes"...

Meanwhile we're still waiting for the Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman and Danny Devito Penguin that Hot Toys teased several years ago.

Hahahaha I was thinking the same. I guess it depends on the age you were when this movie came out. I can see how people have fond memories of it. People hate on Batman Returns but I absolutely love it.

I was 6 when this came out so Val was my Batman and to this day I still think he was a great Bruce Wayne. Even Clooney has some touching moments with Alfred so those movies aren’t all bad. Oh man, I just keep talking myself into buying these more and more! Robin looks a tad goofy in such bright tones but that Batman suit is epic.

As much as I consider those movies a stain on Batman’s cinematic history, the “regular” costumes weren’t bad. I wonder how much Chris O’Donnell had to bribe the designers to get that codpiece.

I wonder if we'll get an alternate maskless O'Donnell face. Probably too much to hope for the same with Kilmer since that cape/cowl are all one single piece and it's not a simple matter of headswapping.

I think emotions towards it have softened, much like how people are remembering the prequel trilogy in a better light now haha

I loved the movie as a kid and I enjoy it now as a fun romp, it's still watchable imo. But I'd much rather they do the Returns villains first before this stuff. Next thing you know they're going to do B&R Bane. *shudder*

Eh, they're still bad, but it's possible that the prequels are just looking better when compared to the new movies, which have pretty much soured me on Star Wars forever (except Rogue One, which was really good).

This is true. We forget how good we have it nowadays with all of these awesome comic hero team-up movies. Back in the day you had just one hero in their own little self-contained universe and if you even got a off-the-cuff mention of something else from the comics it would drive you crazy with excitement, even though it always went nowhere. Like in Batman Forever when Bruce Wayne casually mentions Metropolis in passing. It went nowhere of course (you knew Superman would never pop up or anything), but I remember the audience reacted to it pretty strongly regardless, gasps and whatnot. Gee, an actual reference to something!
Heh, I'm kind of the reverse. The prequels struck me so wrong for a long time and the new movies won me back. Having said that there are still elements from the prequels that I'll defend.

There was a documentary a few years ago about the Superman movie they were going to do with Nicolas Cage and I remember one of the things Kevin Smith was saying he had in his script was that Batman would show up at Superman's funeral or something to that effect. If that movie had ever seen the light of day we could have had our first cinematic superhero team up, and of course all of the other wacky shit the producer apparently wanted.
Heh, I'm kind of the reverse. The prequels struck me so wrong for a long time and the new movies won me back. Having said that there are still elements from the prequels that I'll defend. As for the Wars of the Stars, the prequels have GREAT action scenes. Horrible dialog and chemistry (plagues ALL Star Wars), and Episode 1 drags on and on and on. Episode 3 was actually pretty smooth other than Natalie Portman's performance. The new movies I actually really enjoy. They "feel" more like the original trilogy. They feel gritty and raw. The prequals had a sheen to them (a lot has to do with the CGI used) that made them feel too pretty... Back to topic of this thread, I haven't seen the Forever movie in years, but if memory is correct, isn't Robin's suit a dark maroon and dark green? I don't remember him being so vibrant. Granted, he's not LEGO Batman's Robin bright, but still... Gyah… now I have a mental image of Chris O'Donnell ripping off his green tights and running around in just the codpiece... CURSE YOU, LEGO!

This movie was okay. It was Batman and Robin that killed Batman movies until Nolan came along. The soundtrack was amazing
