I like it. Superman is going to have many persnickety fans looking for damn near perfection and IMO this should hold up to their microscope. The accessories are smart and impressive; I'm digging the ricocheting bullets, the snapped chains, and the miniaturized Kandor most of all. Nice.

I've never wanted to buy a Superman figure more. Will be keeping my eye on this. Mezco is winning me over with this and the looks of their Trek figures.

The only thing I'm not a huge fan of here is that the outfit seems just a little too big on him. I like the look of the costume itself, love all the accessories and think the head sculpts are very good as well. Plus, the figure comes with a bottled city of Kandor. That's great.

I agree. It does look like it could be tighter, although I am guessing this allows for more articulation (?).
Either way, I am not a particular fan of the "calm" headsculpt and the shiny costume. I think they missed the mark on this figure, unfortunately.

It looks okay, but I'm not completely sold on this one. The belt looks really weird without the red loops from the trunks, IMO. I think the loops could have been sculpted into the belt and still looked okay.

I also don't particularly care for the big, bulky chest symbol. Personally, I would have preferred something along the lines of what they did for the Batman figures.

Leaving the loops off the belt is definitely an odd move, but not unprecedented. Mezco seems to be trying to give their own minor twist on a classic look.

I agree about the chest symbol, but the fact that it is magnetic and allows for the bullet-bouncing effects to be stuck on... that's REALLY cool. I can quickly get over the slight bulk since it does that

That alternate head sculpt is the best alternate portrait they've done in the whole One:12 line IMO

Maybe it's just me but almost $100 for a 6 inch action figure is not nice,no matter how many accessories it brings.

Yeah, and I wish they wouldn't. I'm not typically a high-end collector, but I might have been convinced to snag definitive versions of my favorite DC characters. Sadly, these are not that. The tweaks seem arbitrary and make these skippable for me. And that's a real shame, considering how much I like what Mezco is doing in general. Here, I dig the head sculpt on Superman, love the magnet feature, but the shield and belt design remind me too much of the terrible Superman Returns movie. At this price point, I want iconic.

Hopefully they continue the line with alternate versions that are more faithful to the source material, like Neal Adams Batman in the classic blue and gray with capsule belt.

He isn't on Entertainment Earth's site yet, but when he is, he'll be $75 with free shipping.

Yes, these are 1/12 scale figures. Roughly 6" each.

Well that puts things into perspective. Still good figures, but I retract my earlier statement of good value for a toy...

...and I still want Space Ghost.

1/3 of the price of a Hot Toy and 1/2 the size. I think that's great value. I don't have the money or display area for 12" figures, so I'm thrilled with Mezco's offerings.

Would be better if these were in scale with Neca figures. I'm not sure how I'll justify paying $100 for a 6" figure. Regardless I will buy it.

People keep saying $100... he's $75 with free shipping at Entertainment Earth or at your LCS/Mezco wholesaler.

Almost $100 is what I said,I know $75 is the low end but many will end up paying closer to $100.

$75 isn't the low end, it's the MSRP. Sure, Mezco charges shipping, but a lot of other places don't. Including local comic shops and Entertainment Earth. Should be easy to find a place at $75... since that's the official price. Just saying. If people have issues with the look or only shipping to US customers... I understand. But he isn't $100 or "almost $100"... Anyone in the US can order right now at EE and pay MSRP. Or talk to their LCS.
