It's a pretty cool figure, and a good likeness. But considering the length of time that Hot Toys has had this license, and the accompanying hype surrounding it, you'd have thought they could have at least thrown in another head where he doesn't look so dumbfounded.
I'm not really a big Back to the Future fan, but I think if I was, I'd be pretty disappointed all in all.

In general, I feel like Hot Toys has sort of been phoning it in as of late, which is a great shame, as I really love it when they're at their best.

It's a tough call on whether or not to get. It doesn't really fit in with my collection, but it's one of my favorite trilogies of all time.

he kind of does do the face a lot in the movie though. I wish there was a relaxed face myself or an accompanying face with a different expression.

Doesn't fit in mine either, but it will when they (hopefully) make Doc and/or BTTF part 2 versions.

Is that a 1/6 scale DeLorean or just photoshopping? That would be massive, and expensive!

No it is definitely a 1/6 delorean they made for the line. Figure it would be same cost as the Tumbler, $450-500. But this is Hot Toys so who knows.

For all those saying this is your first Hot Toys purchase...welcome to the Darkside! Once you star down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

This will be my 4th...or maybe 5th purchase.

Lol, thanks for the warning !
I used to love Sideshow's figures about a decade ago, but had to stop buying when their prices increased, and never made the transition when they began distributing the more high-end Hot Toys stuff.

I think that Snake Plisskin may be my return to the world of Sideshow Toys (I was broke when their amazing Hellboy came out), while Marty will commemorate my first Hot Toys purchase

Man of Steel did me in and I followed with Reeve Superman. Then came that Batman Armory announcement and off the deep end I did go. Other than those I've been keeping it in check.

...and then Hot Toys announces they're making figures from Star Wars. Lord, help me!

'Special Edition Exclusive Bouns' - someone is getting fired!

The clock tower pamphlet is about 4 times too large.

I wish Hot Toys would just sell update packs for figs like this rather than 'tweaker' reissues. I can see this doing ok, and then Hot Toys selling the same characters in different costumes.

Hot Toys is really knocking it out of the park this year with new releases. I knew they were going to do Marty for a while now, but really surprised that they did the delorean, AND how good of a job they did with it as well.

The main thing that bugs me is that this appears to be strictly a BTTF1 style Delorean time machine, which suggests they'll re-release it later on as a BTTF2 version with Mr. Fusion and the futuristic license plate and rotating wheels to display it in hover mode. For the cost of this toy, we should have got both versions as one single release. It should be easy enough to offer an attachable Mr. Fusion and 2 different license plates, along with the BTTF1 lightning rod and a display stand to make the car levitate in hover mode.

So with that in mind, I may have to skip buying this in anticipation of the eventual BTTF2 Delorean getting released.

I also hate that Marty's guitar is an asian exclusive that will be difficult for most people to get. What a jerky thing for Hot Toys to do.

Now considering how long Hot Toys has had this license before finally revealing their first figure, I wonder how long we'll have to wait to get a Doc Brown figure? Will he be in his 1985 white jumpsuit as seen in the mall parking lot scene? I imagine his accessories would include the yellow crate with plutionium in it, the remote control for the delorean, and of course Einstein!

You'd think a company that prides itself on accuracy would have gotten the Goodyear logos on the tires.

So, when is Marty actually coming out? I see that the special version with the guitar has shipped and there are some in-depth reviews, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of the regular one yet. Also no sign of Doc Brown even though the 30th anniversary is just a couple of months away...
