Not sure if this has already been posted, but I found that the Marvel Universe Secret Wars Comic Packs are available for pre-order at Toysrus.com. All three comic packs are available plus another, previously unheard of by me, Hulk and Spider-Man Miniature Alliance 2-Pack.

The Secret Wars comic packs retail for $14.99 and are scheduled to ship on August 9th. The Hulk and Spider-Man 2-Pack retails for $19.99 and is in stock. I guess the figures in that one are metal or something due to the higher price.

Not too happy about the $15 price tag on these. I wish they were around $12-$13 instead. Not a big difference really but it does add up. If they start out at $15 I wonder how many waves of comic packs it will take before we see a price increase, similar to what happened with the Joes. Still, they do look nice and I'm looking to pick them all up. I love that Brown and Yellow Wolverine. Looks a lot nicer than the XMO:Wolverine version.

I see that BBTS has them available for pre-order as well. You can order by the case, the entire wave, or the single comic packs except they do not have the Human Torch/Wolverine pack by itself. The only way to get that one from BBTS is by the case or entire wave.

$15 isn't too bad, really. Most single figures run about $8 or $9 each, depending on the store. For $15 you get 2 figures and a free comic. Even considering it's a reprint of an old issue, the figures alone would cost you $16-$18.

I just wonder how much longer it will be before we hear reports of in-store sightings.

I don't think they'll increase anytime soon personally... I think that we're at a point to where they're overpricing a bit on the figures.. Anymore, and well, I think they'd lose a lot of money.

I hate the $15 price tag too, but luckily I only want Klaw and Cap.. And maybe somehow I can con someone into going halfsies on one so I can get that Human Torch.

That is true. But remember, the Joe comic packs used to be $10 and single carded were about $7. I just feel that if they force you to have to buy two at a time then they should compensate by reducing the price on each figure a little. Hasbro has been steadily raising prices on their items but I feel that $12 sounds more fair for these.

I'm sure these will be cheaper at Target & Walmart.
Oh and the metal figures are totally unrelated to the MU line.

I hope they are cheaper at those places, but the single figures are actually a little more at my local Wal-Mart.

Yes, the Joes were less, but now they're about the same as MU figures - even with their comic packs. As long as the 2-pack price stays below the total price of 2 individual figures, then I'm good at $15.

Ironically, Target and Wal-Mart's pricing for individual figures is what I based my numbers on in my earlier post.
