Nah... they will probably just go the Spidey 3.75" route and just start making up fantasy costumes I bet. If that's the case... theoretically speaking, MU could go on forever. LOL.

We could just link the MarvelWiki, I suppose...

Have we run out of Wolverine variants yet? Maybe Wolverine in the Fang costume?
Sadly, there's like four new Spider Man costumes they'll slog out.
As played out as wolverine is, I had a weapon x wolverine when I was a kid from the classic x men line. He was in his boxers with the helmet and cables attached to him. That would make a cool MU figure.

Also, along with my marvels nonsense line: gentleman cyclops. Dressed as an 1800's businessman type. shooting laser beams out of his monocle

Good points....and I also think the movies and the greater popularity of comics as mainstream culture contributes to retailors buying choices- a lot of the people making the decisions likely read comics or are fans of the characters through the movies.

As much as I hate how bad some...most comic movies are I still have to thank them for what they have enabled

Yet wave 4 in most places has flown off the shelves, and it's mostly pure obscures. X-23, DarkHawk, Commander rogers.

Variety is starting to make these things fly off the shelves, and 2012 may have a bunch of obscures, but it has a lot of mainstays too and other populars.

Jubilee is a popular, spider-man, Inhumans(several cartoon appearances), and many others.

Now also factor in Super hero squad appearances, and the avengers cartoon appearances besides the classic toon appearances, and you got an MU that caters to every kid and fan alike. Thanks to the cartoons on CN, Disney XD, and Nick kids are getting to know more and more characters, without a dedicated line for each cartoon they can dump the comic versions into the MU and kids will still eat them up.

If this is intentional on hasbro's part, they are doing fantastic with all the choices. I don't see this line ever ending so long there still is medium to reach audiences and thanks to Disney, the mediums will always be rerunning even if you aren't a comics fan.

It's surprising but even my 8 year old cousin knows who nighthawk is thanks to SHS.

I had completly forgot to factor in how helpful Disneys involvement would be. Cartoons are also another great way to get the word out. I can stick anyone in a cartoon and gain interist for them. Heck some very popular characters today started off as cartoon exclusive (harley quinn and X23)
