Let's test our collective memories. How many comic-based movies can we name that had accurate costumes?

Here are a few to get you started:

Incredible Hulk (2008)
Howard the Duck
300
Sin City

Ok, go!

Ghost Rider was pretty close. The bike was different but it has had many looks over the years.

Howard the Duck was an awesome movie. I loved it as a kid and just watched it again a few months ago and still enjoyed it a lot.

I thought F4 was fairly accurate.

SUPERMAN (Christopher Reeve) and CAPTAIN AMERICA(1990's?) were pretty close if not accurate.

Does Hulk count?

I also liked Watchmen.

Spiderman was good.

Superman certainly. Can't remember how Cap looked in the 90's film.

But they had different colored masks in the films, so technically no. Originally, they all had red masks. Other than that, I'd have to agree.

I thought Shredder was pretty spot-on, though.

Ghost Rider I think could get a pass, since the bike was the only big change.

I'm sure they could have used one of the more recent comic armors for his Mark II design. Not that I'm complaining at all - I love the movie designs. But the thread is about comic-accurate costumes, and his is not.

I thought the Superman serials from the 1940s were pretty dead-on. Batman had floppy ears, and Captain America was missing his wings, but they were both pretty close.

Spawn was "organic" looking but his villains matched the comics.

Judge Dredd should have had a British accent, but visually he matched the comics, and Rob Schneider looked exactly like the weaselly characters they tend to throw in for comic relief.

Also:
A History of Violence
Casper the Friendly Ghost
American Splendor

Dr. Strange (70s) It was so corny they didn't even bother to change the costumes anyway.

Hulk from the hulk trilogy in the 80s. May not have had the size right, but it got the rest perfect. (Not so much for thor and daredevil in these.)

Spider-man from the 80s tv movies as well. Hey, it was actually spandex too!

Roger Corman's Fantastic 4
Modern Fantastic 4

Spawn (counts since the comics alter appended variations to the costume at times)

Superman all. Really it's hard to do that wrong, and still call it superman.

Batman Adam west.
Batman. the first keaton one.

The Rocketeer.

Robocop. ( I cheat haha.)
Terminator. ( I cheated again!)
Alien and sequels. (Cheater!)
Predator (Last cheat I swear!)

Sin city
300
Watchmen (painstakingly so)

Punisher
Punisher (modern)
Punisher warzone
(but those really aren't fair, cause frank castle has worn everything at one time or another.)

The Shadow.
Casper
Garfield

Man-Thing
Swamp Thing
Howard the duck
Star wars (okay I lied on the cheating)
Star trek (cheater)
1992 captain america (NOT THE 70s TWO!)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
I'm not counting Ironman, and Spider-man (modern) since you mean 100% costume accuracy. And the CBS Justice League movie gave martian manhunter a beer belly, so I can't count that.
