I’m not sure how it scales nationally, but in my neck of the woods Neca has saturated the local Targets and Walmarts with tmnt goodies. Target has an entire end cap full of Leatherhead & Slash, pizza alien, chrome dome, super rocksteady and mighty bebop, fugitoid, metalhead, ratking & Vernon, dirtbag/groundchuck, wing nut/screw loose, and the punk frogs.. I mean they have at least 8 to 10 boxes of each. (Oddly enough, the end cap isn’t near the regular Neca product, but over in the toy aisles near the board games)
Walmart is similarly stocked up on movie figures… twin pack of Hamato yoshi & saki, ultimate April, Casey/April twin pack, and close to a pallet full of regular Super Shredders.

The Slash set was just a restock that hit at the same time, but was definitely sent in larger numbers. As for Walmart, it seems every store got a large restock of the turtle 2 packs and Splinter/ Shredder 2 pack to coincide with the large scale release of Ultimate April and the Farmhouse 2 pack. As for the Shadow Warrior set, those have been stocked in large numbers and peg warming for months. My 2 closest Walmarts avoid anything NECA like it has leprosy, yet each have about a dozen of the Warriors and Splinter sets.

If Neca ever peruses these forums, I want them to see a hearty bravo from me.

NECA won't get any pats on the back from me until they re-release April. I'm glad I can finally have as many Foot Soldiers as my heart desires, but the collection is nothing without an April worth displaing.

They do deserve a bravo. NECA is not perfect and gets a lot of grief, but they're a small company and they do try.

Which April? I'm still waiting for them to fix the overly large head on the 80s toon one.

They teased a re-release of her in December on Twitter so I guess it is coming. Her head is unbelievably awful, particularly compared to all the other toon figures. |

I guess maybe you Neca collectors are used to it or whatever, but I saw the style guide Turtle 4 pack box set at Target and it was the first time I ever saw the Turtles... usually I see all the other characters I never heard of, but never the Turtles. I mean I never even saw the Turtles in disguise box set, but this new one was 150 bucks... like holy crap... that is like 40 bucks per turtle if you include tax... that is bordering on crazy IMO for repaints.

Completely agree. Strangely it's the first set I picked up (I passed over the early releases and then fell in love with all the photos too late!) and sold the set on - it's just utterly lifeless. At least selling it on paid for late tax on Shredder/Leo, allowing me to fully catch up with all the figures I wanted. But given how good almost everything else is, it's an absolute crime that they messed up on finally giving us a decent toon April. 6 months later, I'm starting to think they're not going to bother.
