If this happens, he'll be the most rebooted Marvel movie character out there.
Will 'The Hulk' Get Another Reboot?

I actually favor Norton's Hulk. Kind of upset that he didnt make the cut for Avengers too.
I think another Hulk feature would be a terrible waste...right now. Down the road I would love to see it on the big screen again.

Norton was a great Banner, but Norton is a great actor in general. So why wasn't he on board with The Avengers? I'm sure it would've been a solid career move, I mean an entirely new generation would grow to know him as The Hulk.

He wanted more money than the studio would give him so they said stuff about him to the fans saying he was being difficult and he needed to think of them first. Mostly dirty pool.

Marvel has been low balling actors/directors/production teams since they starting making the movies themselves. It's actually been pretty gag-inducing to watch. They want to pretend like the movies make no money. I do think Norton shares some of the blame. I mean, he practical claimed he wrote the thing so maybe he's a bit headstrong.

I had read it was a dispute over the editing for incredible hulk. He made some disparaging remarks and really burned his bridges.

From what I can remember it was the editing thing. He wanted it longer or something and they cut it to the length they wanted. Either way the last Hulk movie is my favorite they've made so far and it's a damn shame Norton isn't going to be part of the future Marvel movies.

What lord marvel says is what just about everyone overseas has been saying after they saw this movie. From what I've read in multiple reviews, Hulk pretty much stole the show in Avengers. While, I haven't seen the film yet, I can say this with certainty: Ed Norton got a lot of praise for playing Bruce Banner...not the Hulk.

Ruffalo got the actual opportunity to play the Hulk through MoCap. He apparently has done for Hulk what Andy Serkis did for Golem in LOTR and Ceaser in Planet of the Apes.

I hope they do make Ruffalo Hulk movies. I mean you know they're going to anyway, so might as well enjoy the ride.

idk i gotta see how he is for myself. the incredible hulk was hands dwn the best i've seen, and IMO norton is the best. but my opinion can be swayed cause im a huge hulk fan, and if ruffalo does/did a hell of a job then i might be persuaded

Good to hear Ruffalo is good in the movie because I was a little skeptical of how he'd do.

I hope if they're continuing from the last Hulk movie they use the Leader as the villain and maybe bring back Abomination as his lackey like in the old 90s cartoon.

I loved the first Hulk movie despite it's issues and loved the second one even more. From the looks of things this new version of the Hulk is gonna blow the first two out of the water so I'm quite excited indeed. I was bummed about Norton not being Banner this time but with the praise that Ruffalo seems to be getting I find myself even more excited for the movie than I initially was.

All I know is that I have my midnight ticket for tomorrow night already with plans to go again Saturday with my father and daughter.

I've always thought Bill Bixby was one of if not the best Banner we've seen. Ruffalo took his inspiration of Banner from the old Hulk series so I have to imagine he's gonna be/is good. Regardless of what we all think anyway, it's unlikely they WON'T do another hulk movie. Hell, I expect them to do a Black Widow movie, and/or a Hawkeye movie. All the other characters have individual movies, why not them?

the first hulk movie had multiple personalities but not like the hulk. the story practically wrote it self based on Peter David's run but still it was fail with a non villian villian and trying to incorporate too much and it was still lacking

The second movie rates for me up there in all time fav comic book movies next to Spidey 2 my fav.

I can't make a decision just yet on Ruffalo as banner which will be the deciding factor. I loved Norton's banner it just hit all the right notes for me. As far as Norton 'writing' it I heard he did some late minute edits to the script but I'm not sure the details. I hate when money ruins things for fans which is the reason I don't watch the NBA anymore but I digress

Unfortunately, we as fans tend to forget that second word in "Show Business".

I'm looking forward to seeing Avengers this weekend, and my hope is that Ruffalo is as good as everyone is saying. I really enjoyed Norton's Hulk, but it wasn't exactly a reboot. More of a soft reboot, since they didn't focus on his origin again and he was already on the run when the movie started. It was also based largely on the 1970's TV series, rather than the comics or cartoons.

I would hope that any future Hulk movies would either come from the Avengers timeline (or Norton's Hulk, if it's different from Avengers), rather than starting from scratch again.

On a side note, I find it very interesting that the Hitlist reviewer (Corwin) says he likes the Ang Lee film better than the Norton film. Most comic book fans I know feel the opposite.

I liked a lot of the action in the Ang Lee movie and Eric Bana and Sam Elliot were good in their respective roles but that movie just wasn't as good as it should have been.

The Norton Hulk movie did have the origin but it was done all before the movie really started. One of the best parts imo because you see what happened to Banner in like 5 mins then it cuts straight to the action. I love that movie so much.

Something else I was thinking about yesterday. When they do make another Hulk movie (you know they will) I hope he's wearing some purple pants at least once as an homage to the comics.

Agreed! Also if they make him some what similar to the Avenger's cartoon that would be cool, cracking jokes and what not.
