I'll happily take a Silver Samurai figure.

I wonder whether Deadpool will be a new (non-XMO) mold?

Three Captain Britains in less than a year? I'm in a coma, aren't I? I thought the Marvel Universe line was going so well, but I'm in a hospital bed, making the whole thing up in the back of my head.

Well since I'm hallucinating this, he better have his mace.

Someone speculated on the MN Forums that this would actualy just be the SHS two packs. I really hope this isn't the case

But this would explain some of the silohettes we received that we never got answers for AND we no longer have any insight onto the next wave of comic packs so...Here's hoping!!!

If someone with more time can pluck out some comics with these match-ups then that might cement them as comic packs. Either way i'm happy with a few more variants and new obscure guys. The comic packs seem like the method they're using to get more obtuse, collectable figures out there. I'm thinking of the wrecking crew and The Sentry and Dr Doom.

There was an old Marvel Team-Up with Spiderman and Captain Britain (the red bodysuit with a blue mask over his mouth). That would be excellent!

Definitely the Super Hero Squad two-packs. However, I want me a Marvel Universe Taskmaster something fierce.

Pretty sure these have been debunked as SHS figures, the walmart pinhead says otherwise but time will tell I guess

MU hinted in the CoolToyReview.com interview that they were going to re-use the XMO Deadpool figure and they already listed that Captain Britain costume in the Fan poll. These seem like pretty strong possibilities to be MU and not SHS.

Honestly, I think Silver Samurai VS Wolverine would be from the newer comics. There is one most notably, where Wolverine fights Silver Samurai, Silver Samurai stabs him with his sword, but Wolverine cuts off his hand.

This would be a way to get an ASX/modern costume Wolverine. I think it would just be a repaint of the X-Force 3 Pack Wolverine coming to Kmart.

That or the issue samurai trains logan in how to use the muramasa for against daken.

I'd be down for that, since it'd give us avengers wolverine.

XMO Deadpool is being reused already in the x-force 3 pack, so this one probably will be the carded mold.

I kinda think that Marvel's history is extensive enough that we could find support for these packs in a lot of comics....I'm not sure though that that defines this as being Marvel Universe over SHS.

But I REALLLLLYYYYYYYYY hope that I'm wrong.

I'm more focusing on the fact that Taskmaster was a proposed silohette that was released before SDCC. One of them also was a Wolverine? Can anyone else make any match ups with this and the silohettes?

I think classic Capt. Britain was one.
I do think these are MU. My Walmart has clearanced out their comic packs at $9. So it would make sense that his computer would also list them that much. Not to mention he said they no longer have any cp's which means they were also cleared out.
Also I read 2 of those SHS are already out. Nothing about the other pairings at all.

Read that the price originally listed was for $12.88 I think, which is the current price of comic packs, but the prices are supposed to be cut to $9+.

Hasbro has been really upfront and aggressive about what thier releasing through retail. the fact that through sdcc and nycc where they've shown figures for pretty much up to the first 2 waves of next year makes me question this. If they aren't shs i wouldn't expect to see these for a while as the greatest battle 2 packs with sentry/spidey and so forth have rarely been seen.

I do agree with this but there are a few things I think can't be overlooked. The Sentry/Spiderman Iron man/thor etc Comic packs are out..and comic shops, like mine do have them in, so we can consider them "released" but not "saturated"

Since these figures are released...we no longer have any more "known comic packs" that are on the horzion for 2011. So maybe...these could be what is upcoming? Maybe not...

I think the Walmart listings could be true, Hasbro did say at NYCC that more comic packs were on the way for spring 2011, and it makes sense that some of them may already be listed in Walmart/retailer computers.

I looked up on Wikipedia for the SHS toyline

Wave 20 which is the most current one features a Deadpool v Taskmaster

Wave 15 features Wolverine vs Silver Samurai.

Unless this page is not up to date...there doesn't appear to be enough evidence to support that this may be SHS as well..

It'll be awesome if the listings are for MU, except for getting another comic pack with Spidey. As I already said, a 3.75 skmaster would be a dream come true. I'm also VERY interested in getting a Silver Samurai. Depending on what comic issue it comes with, it could be (as Snowflakian said) a New Avengers wolverine, which would be very nice. I also wouldn't mind getting a brown/orange costume using the original appearance body done in proper colors. I really like the first comic pack version's colors, but he's just too big for Wolverine. The XMO version was good size-wise but the colors were off.
