I'm glad we have had the movie lines. Just a few of the cool figures we have thanks to the movie lines include:

Mandarin
War Machine (several versions)
US Agent
Bucky Cap (I mean a good one...)
Crossbones
Odin
Destroyer

And the list goes on and on. I'm not a completest with movie lines like I am with MU, but I like a lot of the great additional characters we get from them.

Sure there are some crap figures. Every line has them. But there are plenty of good to great ones too.

I agree.

Many of the movie figures are the best renditions of classic characters.

Like Smokey with a stuttering problem, this bears repeating.

You have to be able to take the good and the bad. I'm not a huge fan of every movie line that's been done, but I do pick and choose what I like. Of course, I do that with almost all of my toy purchases.

I can walk with you on all of those plus many others in IM2 (Guardsman, Titanium Man, Hulkbuster, Crimson Dynamo, Iron Monger, Comic Whiplash) and Captain America (Red Guardian, Red Skull), Spider-Man (Rhino, Venom, Carnage, Lizard, Scorpion, and Shocker), and Wolverine (Gambit, Maverick, Blob, Deadpool, comic Sabertooth).

But I can't agree on Odin. Too small, no helmet, strange accessories, stupid eye patch (I grew up with an Odin with two good eyes), and the wrong colored armor. Odin had alot of girth about him, but was also clearly an old warrior. His armor was often gold and he carried himself like the king that he was. It was sad to see Odin depicted like this.
