Ok, i have a decent collection of POTF2 star wars figures from the mid 90s. I have been hanging onto them forever and it's finally time to let them find a new home. Unfortunately I have never graded figures before. SO I have taken a few pictures of some of my carded SW figures to try and get an idea of what C-9, C-8, C-7 etc mean for my toys.

I'm trying to go by the ebay grading scale for POTF2 and other modern carded figures.
Quote:
Our grading scale for Power of the Force II, Episode I, Power of the Jedi, Saga Collection, and Episode III is as follows:

C-9 The package of the item is in the same fresh condition that it was in when originally shipped from the factory. Flaws may include very minor wear to edges or corners. The toy should be factory sealed unless noted. Overall, this is a near mint to mint condition. Items listed on our website should be C-9 condition unless noted otherwise.

C-8 The package of the item has minor wear. We may see more prevalent shelf wear, minor creasing, or a slight indent(s) to the bubble. The toy should be factory sealed unless noted. Overall, a displayable, but less than perfect condition.

C-7 The package of the item has moderate wear. The packaging may have heavier creasing, more severe bubble indents, a sticker tear, etc. This level of wear is usually unacceptable for a collector who maintains his or her collection in the original packaging. The toy should be factory sealed unless noted.

C-6 The package of the item has heavy wear. The packaging may have tears, creasing, or other severe damage. Generally, we would only recommend this condition to someone who wants to open the package to have a mint complete loose item. The toy should be factory sealed unless noted.
here are some pics of 3 different carded POTF2 figures i have.

Here is a figure with a curved card. The edges and corners are very nice, but the card obviously has a curve to it. How should it be graded?

Heres another figure, view from the top. both the left and right corners have a little bend to them, towards the back of the card. what would be an accurate grade for this?

Here are the top and bottom shots, respectively, of a princess leia. as you can see, the top is nearly perfectly straight across, although it looks to have a couple little dings along the top edge. and the bottom has a strange curve pattern to it, which almost looks like water damage, but it isnt. what would be an accurate grade for this piece?

Thanks to those who take the time to read this. I am fairly confident that once I know how to grade these 3 pieces, I will be able to accurately grade my entire collection. So thank you in advance!

Honestly. To a MOC collector, pass. The grade would be zero on my end if I like MOC figures. Loose collector wont mind, but you wont get the MOC price.

I look at figures everyday. I make sure not to take home anything damaged or bent if I'm even thinking somebody MIGHT want it MOC.

Makes me think though. My trunks aren't weather proof and are old. I hope my POTF collection isn't damaged like that.

Is your leia one belt ring or two? red or green card?

Yikes. Well that is not what i wanted to hear. Can someone else confirm that these are ungradeable? Dont get me wrong i trust your judgement but i dont know a damn thing about grading these. I dont suppose there is any way to straighten these cards out? Seems like a dumb question. Obviously i accidentally posted the same picture twice by mistake of the leia. Doesnt really matter now i suppose. I have 1 green leia and 3i or 4 orange. They are all 2 ring.

The way the cards have waves in them. I'd say it's from sucking up moisture in the air and there's nothing that can be done to fix that. As a MOC collector, I would pass on them. I wouldn't bother trying to attach a grade to them, if you just HAVE to grade them, from what I can see I'd call it a C-7.5. Just toss em on eBay with an honest description of the package condition. Loose collectors won't care what the package looks like so long as the figures are mint. Include as many pics as you can and let them people decide if they want them or not.
