Hi everyone! I love toys... I mean who wouldn't. But I have never been a collector. I was always the rip the box open and play with the thing till it breaks kind of girl. Recently I found a toy that I think might be collectible, but I can't find it anywhere online. How Do I know if I found something good? or If I'm just grasping at straws here. any advice is appreciated. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post!

The easiest way to know is too look it up on ebay. See what people are attempting to sell an item for, as well as checking what it recently sold for. If you're not sure what the toy itself is, why not as in our ID This Toy forum?

Good luck and welcome to the site.

Thanks for the advice... I looked it up on Ebay, and I went ahead and googled it just in case. And it is almost like it doesn't exist... no one is selling them, no one seems to even have ever had one. I will go ahead and post it and see what you think. Thanks!

if you have a question on a figure, post a picture of it here and we can most likely identify it.

Agreed. The members here know their figures, or, in a pinch, where to start looking.

Here's a picture....
I know it's a hand painted New Kids On the Block 3 in one Collectible. It's still in the original package and has a certificate of authenticity. As far as I know it's never been open, and like I said I have no idea where to find any info on it. You guys have been a big help so far! maybe we can figure this out!

Hmmm i wouldn't call it a toy as much , has it got any company logo's ?

EDIT: found what your looking for hopefully
The Brand name is "NEW kids on the Block" , must be very old TV show or something...

New Kids on The Block Huge Lot Sheets Tapestries Pillow Cups | eBay

i did an ebay world wide search of "new kids on the block"
New Kids on the Block Memorabilia | eBay

looks like they could be worth a bit if sold to the right fan boy or girl, plus i kinda did what you did :P
Hope this has helped
Oh and welcome to toyark

If you're thinking about collecting to make money from, I wouldn't take the risk unless you really know what you're doing. Ebay seller fees will soon strip out the hope of much profit.

Just buy stuff you like and keep it for yourself to enjoy. At a later date you might get lucky and have something worth some money, but so long as you always buy stuff for you, you will always have had your enjoyment from the item.
