Hi -
I am hoping to get some people to check out a Kickstarter that we put up last weekend for a new toy brand. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...nd-toys-for-bo INVICTA Challenge combines comics, games and toys to tell true leadership stories. Our content is very unique. The best way to get boys to read is not to give them a book, but to give them something they will want to read, like a comic or a game. Our graphic novel games, called Leadership Decision Challenges, actually involve boys in decision-making. The games allow boys to walk in the foot steps of exceptional leaders through a choose-your-own adventure style experience. Our first story is a true account of a Native American paratrooper on D-Day, Turner Turnbull. Turnbull and his platoon held a key French village all day on June 6, holding off fifty times their number in Germans. There are a lot of amazing elements to this story. For instance, Turnbull's platoon sergeant was Bob Niland; the Niland family is the inspiration for Saving Private Ryan. Every graphic novel game comes with a four inch figure or model kit, because boys are more inclined to read something tied to an activity they enjoy, like collecting or building. The Four Horsemen are sculpting our figures, and the first story comes with a four inch Turnbull paratrooper figure. (Our next story is about Teddy Roosevelt, and you can see some prototype sculpts on our Kickstarter page.) This brand and story is up on Kickstarter right now, and I am hoping to get people's feedback, and, if they like what we are trying to do, their support. You can post here or you can email me directly at jfmurphy@invictachallenge. Here is the Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...nd-toys-for-bo Thanks for your time and attention, and I look forward to hearing from the community. Jim |

Of course, I buried the most important detail for this forum - the Four Horsemen are sculpting our figures.

I think this is a great idea. Especially for the figures aspect of it.
Since this is going to be more of a Leaders line I would love to see some scientists. Einstein being the #1 most wanted, some other ones I'd like to see in this line I think would work well with this format would be: Nikolai Tesla Carl Sagan Thomas Edison Steven Hawking Authors like Mark Twain Presidents like Washington and Lincoln Industry leaders like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney All of our Astronauts I've read somewhere there are plans for some sports athletes. Who would be a Leader everyone else like to see in action figure form? Last edited by theArchivist; 12-04-2014 at 09:27 AM.. |

I followed up and read through the story of Mr. Turner and that is quite a leadership role he played in the D-Day invasion.
I also hope you branch this out to girls as well. There are some great female leaders out there for young girls to have as role models and can learn from their stories better than from Barbie or the crap that shows up on reality tv. |

Hi -
I am hoping to get some support for our Kickstarter, which is live now. launch.invictachallenge.com The product is much more robust, and we are very proud of what we have built. We are hoping that the toy collector community will help us maintain our momentum. By the way, the figure is now six inches! Thanks, Jim |
