So now we have variants of Spider-Man and Human Torch (flamed off).

NICE! I really like this version better! Wow.

Damn you Hasbro and your rediculous repaints.

Yeah like the different Spider-Man I like this one better too. Damn you Hasbro. Why must you mess with my head?

When I find these new repaints I might just have to return the originals.

For some reason I just like the Fantastic 4 outfits better with the white gloves and boots.

Does anyone know which outfits they are shown in the comics with more often? Black or White?

The current run of Fantastic Four has blue costumes with black collars.

The white collars are from John Byrne's run as artist in the in the 1980s, although they lasted into the mid 1990s. I think they changed them about a year before the Onslaught crossover.

I love the paint variants though. Series 1 of MU over-shipped to my local Wal-Mart. Maybe this will get interest up and clear some pegs.

Crap, that's 2 variants. Guess I better update the checklist.

Oh, yeah, and go hunting myself.

Although I do like the dark blue on this costume I still prefer the original one released with the light blue and black gloves and boots better. I like how the black on the costume is glossy against the matte blue.

Still, I'll be picking this one up all the same.

He's warming the shelves here in Maryland. Weak model design with the flame head, it makes him look like a fry kid from Mcdonald's

was surprised to be quoted from the other forum and see my pics here... that made me register to toyark (which is my first time to visit as well)...hehehehe..

anyways, I wanted to collect each and every MU in the line and saw this variant so I grabbed it immediately.... still looking for the variant Spidey though...

Here's my 3.75 stuffs so far. Finally completed Wave 1-3 plus "Variant" and extras! (Though 4 of 6 Wave 2 is still in Philippines!)

Nice collection man. I'm not too happy about this weirdo variant business but at least it's not totally cool variants that are must have...

I'm just happy they aren't purposely shortpacked like some of the ML variants. These I might have a shot at getting easily.

Welcome aboard man! Is Marvel Universe easy to find in the Philippines? I haven't been there in over 10 years.

The TRU I work at finally got in some more Universe figures. Didn't see this one, though. Only the black painted one.

I did see the darker and lighter Spiderman, though. Which one is the variant?

The lighter Spidey is the older one, and the darker-blue Spidey is the new variant that's appeared.

guys this is not a variant but a color correction i found 8 of these toy hunting this week. The same goes for spider-man regular. Captain America too has gotten a paint upgrade i.e a little darker with more shading.

Color correction??? That makes no sense when you apply it to Johnny Storm. Those are 2 different costumes he wore.
I would like to see the darker Captain America.

Not to mention Spidey's darker colors could be a nod to his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15.

Same here.

I have submitted a question to Hasbro about the [potential] variants, so hopefully we get an answer.
