Emotion Style Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier: The False Diva
1/8 scale PVC statuette by Bandai
Released: Late February 2010, RRP ¥6,800 (currently about AUD $70) via HobbySearch Japan and HobbyLink Japan.



It came with a trans-pink display platform (in the shape of the SMS logo), and a clear display stand to keep it upright.

The figure's head is movable, but limited due to the hair and also the jacket/cape thing (which is removable).

Overall the colours are appealing, but the sculpt, mold and proportions are almost too Barbie Like for my liking. The quality of the finish is a bit too glossy in some parts and isn't as great as what I've seen in other Sheryl Nome figures.

Personally I feel that the pose is a bit too beauty queen contestant like, rather than a Galactic Diva type.

I think it's a nice figure although I would only recommend it to the enthusiastic Macross and J-Pop collector.

PS. I purchased the matching Emotion Style Ranka Lee for around the same price as well, but haven't got time to take the statue out of the box to take a pic of it (nor do I have the display space!).
