nice looking mold though.

Was the Tin Man Iron Man the pre-extremis version?

Arctic Iron Man looks like a future peg-warmer.
IDK I thought he was always blue in the comics.....

Yeah, I like it when the figures look exactly like the characters did in my comics when I was a little kid. Sorry guys, but the blue wash on Black Spidey is awesome and so is this blue Iron Monger.

Even as a kid I knew Iron Monger was Blue.....and I understood about the blue in Spider-man and why they did it but Iron Mongers Armor was the color blue and was meant to be Blue....it wasnt meant to be black or grey........

regardless I think we can all agree that the Iron Man 2 movie line and comic line are the best iron man figures to come out (not including hottoys I mean as is mass production and distribution) best detail, accuracy, and articulation!!

how could you not like the ball hip joints their perfect for the iron man line and adds to the articulation and detail, I have the mu hip joints they use on iron man just looks terrible.

I hate the ball joint hips because I personally feel like they are very hard to manipulate. If i want a wide stance I have to somehow get that little ball to rotate to the side and then push out his legs. If I want them back in the front, gotta do it again.

I do have to admit, I love the MU Extremis a lot HOWEVER those legs/hips he has could bear children. They aren't as posable as the balljoints and in that instances I think balljoints are better.

I refuse to believe that Hasbro can't find some kind of middle ground. I think they could make the ball and socket joints on the MU Iron Man figures work alot better if they wanted to.

But the ball joint hips just plain don't work.

also some figures have easier designs for ball joints to work at maximum potential like iron monger, comic war machine, deepdive, high velocity, mark 2 and 3 and 5

this. and i think the Mark 3's the best example. i'd take steady posability than having my iron men look like they have spaghetti legs, or chicken drumstick thighs.

I hate ball joints because you cant move the leg freely....you have to pull the leg up then turn the balljoint to where you want it.....the way the MU figs are now is a real nice way to do it (Colossus, AIM Soldier, Thor.....)

The weight of the smaller figures makes it harder to work.......

again the MU hip joints don't work on a iron man or other armor wearing figure it takes too much away from the figure and character design, I hate thunder thighs on my iron man and the spacing in the joint looks terrible too. yeah the ball joint can be tricky to pose when your impatient but yah know they look a hell of allot better then the MU ones. its a challenge when the figures are so small but as this line evolves they'll get better and better.

That's a good point, Spacemafia. Why can't they make them like the shoulder joints?

*Edit- Nevermind. I thought about it for a second. The crotch would probably have to be a weird shape.

I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one, guys. I place a higher value on being able to easily pose the legs than I do on how accurately detailed the hips look. Manipulating the ball joints is just too frustrating for me. I understand how you guys can feel differently about that. But I still hope they lose the ball joints before we get to Captain America and Thor. Sorry, gentlemen.
