OMGOMGOMGOMG! People, this is a biiiiiig deal. If you haven't bought your tickets already, GO NOW!........GO! I mean it! This movie was INSANE!! All those Iron Man 2 figures you bought will PAY OFF once you see this movie. It was A CINEMATIC ORGASM. I'm serious, the climax was UNBELIEVABLE. And yes, this movie DOES merit CAPITALIZED TEXT!

As a 3-D animation student myself, I was floored by the craftsmanship of the visual effects. Avatar can kiss War Machine's perfect vibranium ass! The story was super solid, the pacing was amazing. Oh, and two words....SCARLETT JOHANSSON. That's really all there is to say.

For those who have already seen the movie as well, I wanna know what you guys thought. This is a RAVE thread after all. And if you haven't seen the movie yet and think this would be too much to handle, just exit this thread now. I don't blame you.

Now, please DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT POST SPOILERS ON THIS THREAD. Be respectful to your fellow Arkers and don't ruin this wonderful cinematic experience. And I mean NO SPOILERS whatsoever.

IF people start posting any spoilers, I ask that the Mod please remove this thread for the benefit of everyone.

GO SEE THE MOVIE NOOOOW!!

Yes, even though I didn't wanna say anything, DO STAY AFTER THE CREDITS. As with all good Marvel movies, you get more than you bargain for.

Best Movie this year, so far at least. At first i was disappointed but that end fight scene made up for all of it. So glad War Machine was in it, he was my Favorite part of the movie. I was disappointed in the Mark V armor considering it is my favorite of his suits for the movie. Would Commenting on Pepper's Attitude be considered a spoiler? If so i'll edit it out.

As long as it has nothing to do with the plot. You can comment on her attitude, but no dialog or specific scene.

well it felt like they crammed several plot points or character development themes into two hours but didn't even try to resolve any of them in a coherent manner. it just felt so rushed somehow, and at points in the movie it felt like i was watching an Iron Sitcom... i will agree with what a friend of mine said, it's a pretty awesome Avengers Prologue

I've heard some not so good things about this movie, but I don't care one bit. I'm going tonight and can't wait. Loved the first movie and am excited for the second.

Great Movie. Going to see it again tomorrow. Bring on Thor, Captain America, and THE AVENGERS!!!! Mark 6 last weapon was awesome. They need to add that weapon to the comic books. Stay until the credit ends, you won't be disappointed.

This is coming from a long time fan, and not one of those fans that must hate things that don't meet my every expectations, but I have to admit I was not impressed in the least.

The story was horrible disjointed, and they tried way too hard to cram every last detail into the story. Despite the rushed feel of the movie, it also felt extremely slow, and the final fight was disappointing as all hell.

I felt like the shit that everyone was throwing at Stark was completely unearned as well. Man, Iron Man is my FAVORITE superhero and I've been looking forward to this one since 2008... I was disappointed.

EDIT: Just noticed Eisen said about the same thing.

As far as quality goes, it will NEVER beat The Dark Knight. The first gets close, but is on a different spectrum in my opinion.

I actually feel like they tried to hard too cram pointless drama into the movie to try to be closer to The Dark Knight. It failed in that respect.

In your opinion, do you think this might be what makes the "Ultimate Armor" listed in wave 4, "Ultimate"?

Thanks for posting your honest opinion. I am looking forward to seeing this, I loved the 1st movie and love both toylines! Question for all of you, did this movie make you want to buy a Whiplash figure?

I don't like his costume design in the movie and the figure isn't something I am excited for. Does his portrayal in the movie win you over? Is he sheer awesome?

Whiplash is pretty cool. However that figure doesn't look so good, and couldn't make me want it. Vanko was great I thought.

Also to what scarecrow said, Iron Man is also my favorite (pretty much all of my action figure collection is Iron Man related), and I thought the movie was great. I don't think the story was disjointed at all. But yes they did cram alot into it, but I thought it worked.

I actually hope they make the Avengers movie based on the The Ultimates Comic. I haven't seen Wave 4, but you don't really need to add anything to the Mark 6 to imagine him using that one-shot Weapon.

I had no interest in the Whiplash Figure before I saw the movie. After seeing the movie, lets just say I'm really hoping they release a COMPLETE Whiplash 6 inch figure.

Definitely don't let my impression ruin it for you, I have a feeling that for me it'll be like a single off a music album. I don't appreciate the single until I see it with everything else. I just really hope that the next movie is a hell of a lot more action packed, cause I thought they did a fantastic job of meshing story with action in the first one.

And I liked Ivan Vanko, but I wasn't too terribly impressed with Whiplash.

I say enjoy it for what it is, because we won't see Iron man again until THE AVENGERS. I'm not counting the Movie Iron Man Anime coming out in Oct 2010, still looking forward to that one however.

Marvel all ready started Thor, Captain America for 2011, and the Avengers in 2012. There may be an Iron Man 3, but not for a good while. I guess you can count The Avengers as Iron Man 3, because if its based on the Ultimates, he's going to be doing a lot more then he did in 1 and 2.

I see. I do want to say that Rhodey was fun in the movie once he got his suit, and Rockwell as Hammer was one of the truly enjoyable highlights.

I hated Hammer prior to this movie, but he may just be one of my favorite superhero movie villains now... Rockwell is just a great actor.

After thinking about it a second. I guess the only real thing that bothered me was that Tarence Howard wasn't Rhodey/War Machine. Don Cheadle did a great job, but after watching IM 1 so much. Don just feels like a stranger when he shows up. I thought it wasn't going to bother me, but it did. Loved everybody else. Black Widow was damn hot and Badass, Sam as Nick Fury was spot on. I didn't like Justine Hammer at the beginning, but I really started to like him during the movie. He was a Funny evil villian. We need more of those.

I thought it was enjoyable but disappointing. It felt like to me that it kept building and building to this epic thing, and then......nothing. The battle at the end was just a big joke, really.
