Marvel Minimates Deadpool Assemble and Marvel Select Lizard and Black Widow

I don't get it. I know this is a press release from Diamond Select/Art Asylum, but why are they positioning these Select figures as new?

Not entirely sure. Could be that they're getting a new/wider release. The Deadpool set was originally an AFX exclusive for SDCC and it looks like they're now being offered to everyone. The Lizard, I believe, was a Disney store exclusive.

Yep, Lizard and Black Widow were both Disney Store exclusives; looks like they're being released everywhere now.
Which is nice, because the Disney Stores near me never received either of them.

Ah, got it. That Lizard is actually a nice looking figure. Only reason I passed on it was due to lack of articulation, especially the missing ab crunch. Widow was just totally disappointing to me in person. All the ones I saw at the Disney store had horribly painted faces. Hopefully this production run produces better results.

I wouldn't mind getting the Deadpool set at some point, but I'm still a little disturbed by Cable-Pool. It's like in-breeding or something.
