I bet that mark 42 turns out to be a mark 4 but painted up with the 42 look. I can't believe they'd actually sculpt it for the set.

I'm thinking these were made to be the actual IM3 toy line and someone at the company came up with the idiotic idea of the cheap figs and swappable armor figs and these great figures got the stinky end of the stick.

I'm planning on buying at least two of these sets- I've been in Iron Man withdrawl for a while and need my fix!

That's a good theory on what happened, man they should fire that guy!

And I totally understand the withdrawal, since Iron Man is my favorite character and the IM2 line was one of my favorite lines.

Also, what do you guys think of the "glow" effect on all the Marks but 42?

This pack is a must for me, repaints or not I think they look great. It's a shame they didn't go the Iron Man 2 route for the 3rd movies action figures, I loved that line.

See I can't figure it out. Is Hasbro giving up on movie line toys. I mean everywhere I want no one wanted to touch the im3 toys. I remember a little kid saying these suck. I mean they didn't even make wolverine movie toys. I am assuming we will get a major let down with Thor and cap the second time around. I'm going to ask hasbro at comic con wtf went wrong

Thor has fully-articulated high quality movie figures (so far... Thor, Loki, Dark Elf).

Which is ironic when you consider the figures from the first Thor movie bombed and Iron Man 2 did well enough to have more waves than any other movie figure.

After Hasbro admitted the lower-articulated Iron Man Assemblers didn't do well and the need for articulated figures... I think (and hope) the Wolverine figures are the last 5 POA we see as a main line.

I don't mind cheaper low articulated figures as long as there's a corresponding highly articulated line. Example: Avengers Assemble. They have the $5.99 5 POA figures (All-Stars) and two waves of quality $9.99 figures.

Having two lines like that is a great idea, too bad they didn't do it with IM3. This pack is cool, but there is no Iron Patriot or other armors. Or even the Mandarin!

I thought the Thor line was pretty cool, they had lots of Thor varieties. But yeah just like the Indiana Jones line, too many of the main character.

I feel like that is what they are doing. I mean luckily the new Thor figures look great but are they cutting down on articulation and quality just to make more profit? Possibly.

so why is the hall of armor under the Assemblers line? dose this mean the actual product we get is gonna be a unarticulated box of crap? ( sorry for the pessimism, the con announcements have me slightly pissed)

Only because there is no other Iron Man 3 line, the figures will be fine.

And it's awesome that it'll be a Amazon exclusive. Should have a reasonable price and easy to get.

I've never purchased an Amazon exclusive before, so they are easy enough to get? And in the picture it obviously has articulation, so we shouldn't have to worry. Unless hasbro does it like the IM2 target pack, but I hope not!!!

This set is already available to buy in Disney Stores in the UK, I assume they'll be in the US soon.

I have seen them personally...£45 at Disney. I passed. Paint apps are sloppy though. They had 9 boxes, only 3 were good. If that ratio carries on... 33% chance of getting a nice set.

Usually in the UK we have to wait months after US and take the chance of online with no choice of better of the bunch.
It would cost about £30 to ship boxed... £75 total, but someone wants one I could help with no fee. That is about $120 though so I am sure no one would.
Mark 42 is sweeet. Nice Tony as well.

Not seeing the number anymore either - they must have gotten more. I think they only display the number when they're getting low.

There are over 350 available. Put the item in your cart and adjust the quantity to 999. The system will show you the maximum number available.
