Lol Nice to see Sun-Man get some burn. Funny how I hadn't noticed until now that the fig was rocking Pan-African colors.

Aye these are great. It has me wonder if we will see these chaps in other MOTU lines going forward to. Masterverse maybe?

In a line designed to show that other ethnicity people can be heroes, they make the black dude some badass macho soldier, the Latino dude a computer programmer (And that's He-Man how?), and the Asian dude a...ninja.

Oy.

Sun Man looks really cool but the others sound just sad.

What do you mean, mate? There are computers and robots and all kinds of technology in Masters of the Universe. Loads of it in the old 80s toys and cartoon too. Someone's got to program all that stuff lol

I’m looking forward to these. I was out of motu when I saw these as a kid…..I think at Kay-Bee Toys….so I never got them. They fit in quite nice with motu and the story of the mom that made these for her son is a great insight.

I do have the Sun-man exclusive from mattel on order, the regular version on order but I’m wondering how the third (flat top hair) version will be released.

Nah. More that in a line of supposedly "let's celebrate diversity" they made the damn Asian dude a ninja.

So Sun Man is the only one actually up for preorder so far, right? That's all I'm seeing on BBTS and EE. Not finding Pig Man or the others yet.

Correct. In fact sun-man is part of wave 8 origins which also has clawful, anti-eternian he-man and the horde trooper.

I'm Asian. We all know that if you can't be a doctor, lawyer or engineer, then Ninja is the next best career choice.

There was another Asian in the line who could toss lightning bolts or something. I'm less bothered that he's a ninja and more bothered that he's a ninja named Sumo. I wonder if there was a small, skinny British one named Rugby?

Still some classics to go - no Whiplash or Moss-Man yet!

But if they make a white guy a ninja, people complain. Iron Fist, Snake Eyes, anyone?

Sunman looks cool but still missing a ton of monsters like Leech, Mantenna, Moss Man, Whiplash, Spikor, Modulok, and those cool snakes Rattlor and Tung Lashor.

Hope they get a release before its over.

I’m drooling over him, he looks wizard!

That said, if you see my rant in the Star Wars thread, I no longer preorder items. I’m hoping to see I’m in store or wait for him to go wide release as did the faker deluxe.

Aye, understandable. I only preorder from places that only take my money once the item is shipped out and also let me cancel with no cost if I find the item elsewhere before they get it in stock. I hate being locked into a preorder with any place that has me seethe with jealousy seeing the figure enjoyed by other collectors because they got it from some place that managed to get it in stock before the place I preordered from gets it.
I mean, I get enough of that being a UK collector envious of all you americans getting figures before me anyway lol. It's worse if another UK collector gets figures from a UK source before I get it from the UK source I ordered from. lol. I can't afford to get them all shipped earlier from the US like some UK collectors too.
