They're neat and all, and I remember the original release Bandai put out got good reviews, but McFarlane has stepped up their game a lot recently after the Doom Slayer debacle, and I have faith that their upcoming WH4K Space Marine figures will be very good and at a fraction of the price ($20 vs. $100). And there's no doubt that Todd will be doing at least a few repaints as well, so I'm giving Bandai a pass.

Funny thing here is the amazing amount of POA, really how many points do you need? At this moment I have hundreds of toys on my shelves and no so much time to play with all of them. They are usually in the same position or MISB.

This reminds me a 3P robot I saw with 100+ POA and how people want more articulations in Mcfarlane figures but with the same price.

These look neat but I already have the first release and don’t think it was worth the price of admission.

McFarlane's WH40K stuff is supposed to release this month, I'll be really curious to see how these figures compare.

This is the same argument that was made against ToyBiz and their figures. Especially Spider-Man.

A lot of that was about the Marvel vs DC argument, because the DC figures weren't the same quality. When Hasbro got the license the POA dropped WAY down.

And all of a sudden Revoltech, Tamashi Nations and Figuarts were everywhere. They took exactly what americans were complaining about at $12 and sold it back to them for $50.

I suspect the same thing would happen here.

I've got a Bandai Ultramarine ans he's very cool- but I'll be waiting for my Mcfarlane Space Marines to come in for some comparisons before I consider dropping $$$ on these guys.

You're leaving out that the imports also feature superior sculpts, paint apps, made of more durable materials, multiple accessories, etc. All of it adds up to a more higher end product in the end.

I don't really understand where they get 50+ POA out of this if there's no finger articulation or something.

Come on, how many Space marines are they going to make? Just give me at least a Howling Banshee! Why does Eldar get no love?!

I think this is a good point. This is why I tend to mix between statues and articulated figures. Sometimes, you just want a piece to represent a character on your shelf. I only end up playing around with the articulation when rearranging the display or for photos.

Still, when I am specifically hunting for an articulated figure of a character, a large part of the draw is the articulation,

There is a large difference in quality. I have Amazing Yamaguchi aka Revoltech Psylocke, for example. The figure comes with two face plates, has eye ball articulation, much more clean paint job compared to ML or DST, two swords, two psi blade swords, two actual psi swords, and plenty of hands. Almost anything in the figure can be moved. So honestly, it is a stretch to think that they are just giving the same thing,

The after sale service is also good. I had couple of paint defects I didn’t like in the same figure, emailed them, and they sent replacement parts (an entire leg and a faceplate). You don’t get that with American figures.

I'm split. The Salamander marine is super tempting and if I did some army building, I'd be interested in a Bandai one leading the charge, but I'm just so priced out by the sticker price and how much of a pain it was to get.

I dunno... they always feel more fragile to me in-hand than American-designed product.

And I hate the way the joints look and move.

The "more" is somewhat redundant in this context.

Great looking, but way too expensive for a 7-inch figure, even with 50 something POA. I pre-ordered the McFarlane ones. 20 euro compared to a 100 euro, that's an easy choice for me. Even if the McFarlane figure will probably be slightly inferior in quality. I also don't like the whole exclusive aspect of these. These should be figures you would be willing to armybuild, but at that price setting, that's simply not doable for common mortals like me.

the bandai ones are decent figures, but not for the price. should have been $60 max. They are literally regular figuarts.

https://youtu.be/WHWQSOrGauU

Plus these are 90% just repaints, the price really should go down.

Don't care. McFarlane's figures are nearly as good and far, far cheaper.

I Will like to see a comparison...
Between Todd and Bandai...
This would/could be interesting IMHO...
We know Bandai price point is at $100..
Where can Todd take you too....
For, say $30 =^)
