Hey guys,
I'm new to the hobby and recently started my collection. I got the Billy bookcase from Ikea and everything is starting to come together now. So here it is so far. It's mainly anime characters, but there'll be a few marvel/dc here and there. Also I'm going to be trying to keep the figures all new/sealed. :0 Here's my youtube channel for anyone that wants to see the figures up close. https://www.youtube.com/user/j03yYunGGaming/ 1/25 Update 11/9/15 Update It's been awhile, got some new stuff. See if you can spot them Last edited by j03yYunG; 11-09-2015 at 08:29 PM.. Reason: updates |

Great display! I admire your restraint: in your position, I would take favorites out of the packages just to enjoy looking at them.
If the hinges on those doors are like most cabinet hinges, you can adjust them with a turn of the screws at top and bottom of each hinge to narrow the gap between the closed doors. However, it might be a good idea to keep that little gap to allow ventilation so moisture doesn't accumulate. That's particularly important if the wood is covered with lacquer, which is durable but doesn't breathe, and also if temperature and humidity are known to fluctuate in the room (e.g., cold days and no dehumidifier in the building). My preference would be to leave the gap, even though it seems kind of annoying at first. I don't have doors, but want them. Right now, things are just sort of piled. |

That's a good point with the ventilation. I don't mind the gap anymore after a few weeks. |

Love the shelves and room you have. The Bleach and DBZ figures are pretty sweet, too! Nice!!

Haha, at first I wanted to take them out, but keeping them sealed in the box kind of a grew on me. It's a different kind of style/art. I figured if I really wanted to take them out, I'll just buy a 2nd one to play with.
That's a good point with the ventilation. I don't mind the gap anymore after a few weeks. Articulation is the major element that prevents me from buying statues - a statue will ALWAYS be in the same stance; an action figure allows for variety. Therefore, it will remain interesting for a longer period of time. Truly, not taking the figures out of the box and not posing them is like buying an expensive car and leaving it inside your garage forever. A second figure is a good idea, but in practice very hard to implement since a lot of the high quality stuff are VERY expensive. |
