BBTS has them up for sale now, and as expected, the prices are ludicrous.

Because there's a couple hundred people on the planet who want all of these guys. NECA wouldn't even make monsters other than Godzilla for years and only for the Legendary movies, I would bet they were forced by their license to make them.

The prices are pretty much what they should be. NECA figures that are sold in every Target in the US are $35-40; BBTS list the Sesame Street Count at $42. $25 more for characters I don't think I'd ever see in figure form isn't a bad deal.

Because I guess NECA isn't willing to pay the licensing fees for the actor's likenesses for extremely niche figures. They'd rather spend that money making super-obscure TMNT characters that showed up in some random comic from 10 years ago.

It's cheaper than buying them directly from JFS, where they are WELL over $100 per figure with shipping and tariffs included. BBTS is WAY more affordable.

$66 a figure isn't so bad for what they are - probably the only figures we're ever getting of this crew.

The JFS Robocop can already bend his elbow, like, 40% more than the shitty NECA figure that they've been repainting over and over for the past decade. Also nice to see Lewis getting some figure love finally.

JFS seems like a good company. They listened to the bitching online when they first showed the Boddicker gang prototypes and added arm swivels so they can hold their weapons properly. And these new figures to the line looks really good as well. I just wish they were cheaper, but that's how it goes when you're a small company, I guess.

The pricing is the only thing giving me hesitation right now. I may finally cave now that they've shown Robo, Lewis and Toxic Emil.

Man, I WISH I had the dough to go all-in on this line. I mean, I COULD go all-in, but it would devastate my bank account. So I think I might just get Clarence and Emil. And maybe Robo and Lewis. And...dammit! I really want them all...

I didn't know they were making Lewis, that's pretty awesome. Have been hoping for a while that a third party 1/6 company would actually make her, but feels like that has been a forever wait. May jump on these all.

I’m going to wait for a price drop, one would think it will eventually happen. Also, if we’re paying a premium, they better have a Peter Weller head.

Finally, would love to see an OCP police car for this scale.

TWO PACKS?!?!? The individual figures are crazy expensive as it is, people will have to take out reverse mortgages to afford these!

I'm not a fan of the 2-pack requirement. I'm not sure what their MGM license requires, or how much the cost of likeness rights (especially for Weller if they got that) may dictate the need for this.

I'd like to think the rest of the cast isn't too pricey to obtain. But I've seen some crazy demands from licensors over last few years at my job.

I know Carl Weathers (RIP) was very demanding every time NECA tried to get his likeness rights.

Back when I was talking to NECA's Randy more regularly, he would say that they would use Arnold Schwarzenegger's contract as the high bar. That was the most they paid (not sure what the number was), but the cost was justified because it covered multiple film roles. So anyone coming in with a request higher than Arnold's would have to heavily negotiated to get the price down.

Yeah, I remember hearing that Arnold was the highest NECA would pay for likeness rights. Money well-spent, in my opinion. Hell, it got me a Commando figure.

Interesting that Weathers apparently had a high price for likeness rights given we got a decent amount of figures from him for Mandalorian. And Hiya seems to be doing Apollo Creed.

NECA had that little money?

With Star Wars, Lucasfilm requires actors to sign likeness agreements so actors don't have a say in how their Star Wars characters are used by licensees (has been that way since the original trilogy).

As for Hiya, their deal was for the Rocky license, which included Carl Weather's likeness. With Rocky, the only character you can't easily do is Thunderlips, since Hulk Hogan kept his likeness rights for that one. NECA wanted his likeness for Predator, which had no actor likenesses included. Which is why they never did most of the cast there.

Also, the owner of NECA is crazy rich. From what I understand, NECA's problem wasn't a money thing, but more of an issue getting his reps to finalize a deal.
