Just got Mass Effect 3

Just bought it! It was quite the adventure... The store Tiberius' girlfriend and I were going to didn't have a set amount on collectors editions. But since we're huge fans, we decided to wait 6 hours before midnight for the release just to get the collectors edition. Strangely enough, there were people there before us. We all got the option to buy the game ahead of time, which we did. Tiberius' girlfriend went first and got the LAST collectors edition for the Xbox 360... They only had PS3 collectors editions now. And I don't have ME2 for the PS3. But I NEEDED the collectors edition (I should mention, that the store wasn't getting anymore, since we live in a small town, no one was getting anymore) so I instantly bought the PS3 one instead. Tiberius got mad (via text) and we got in a heated discussion. At the end of that, I realized that I was a dumb ass and didn't want to admit it. At the end though, Tiberius' girlfriend felt so bad, she decided to buy me ME2 for the PS3. All worked out, I got a shirt too. It's pretty sick.

I'm sure your adventure wasn't as exciting as mine, but who else got the game?

Doesnt come out until friday over here in the UK but i assure you, i will be getting it!

ME2 is the best game i have ever played. love the ME universe!

I pre ordered the collectors edition from gamestop. Waiting in line for any amount of time is beneath me. I love their policy on stuff like that, if you preorder something. It will be there regardless.

I just need to shower then i'm picking this up. not even ME3 got me up before noon today

Damn I wish anywhere in this town would do that. I preordered for the collectors edition for xbox, had to wait in line, and STILL didn't get it. Had to make do with PS3 collectors.

that's crap man. Try ordering from gamestop online? Idk how it works or if they do...canada?

It all worked out in the end. He is playing ME2 and at the beginning it has a comic like strip thing and you can just make your story that you did in ME1. So you don't lose anything. The lighting effects on Ps3 is better than 360 too so it is all good. But it is bs, living in a small town though. Try being an action figure collector...fuck.

Picked it up last night at midnight. Buuuttt....I can't play story mode until I finish all my DLC for ME2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, Arrival, as well as Legion and Kasumi's loyalty missions...*phew*... I'm not gonna be able to play ME3 until a freakin' month from now at this rate! :/

I picked this up yesterday. ME3 definitely brought it up a notch. A great game. I'm 2 hours into it and I already feel like going through ME1 and ME2 again for reference again.

On the final mission for ME2 and within two and a half days, I put in 27 hours into ME2 (I completely no lifed it and it is BRUTAL)... Looks like tomorrow, after having ME3 sitting there since Monday night, I will FINALLY get to play it... After school...

This game is so addictive. I'm 20 hours in already.

Man, I hated the hammerhead in ME2's Overlord mission. Crap vehicle. The rest of the story was okay. Played it once, skipped it on my other play throughs. Shadow Broker is a must though.

shadow broker is pretty much a necessity. My main renegade playthrough i've had liara as my main squeeze, faithful throughout all games + shadow broker makes for some awesome dialogue.

Mass Effect is the best series i've ever played honestly. the complexity and story and all the chat options. The ONLY way i'd like anything else is if Knights of the old republic got a face lift and a decent sequel and a third game.

Off topic: I hope they release KOTOR on xbla or psn. I don't see why that would be hard. I'd pay for it!

Never got to play the first Mass Effect. I'm on PS3.

+1 for Liara. Couldn't establish a romance with her until ME3 though. Shadow Broker was one of the best written missions I've ever seen. But ME3 has some really great ones too. Thessia. Tuchunka and the Shroud.

The ME series has ruined me for *all* other games...

Watch out for bugs though... I've had my PS3 go black on the citadel, trying to get to the Docks. Kasumi's side mission, there, never activated. And on Horizon, the elevator up to the tower was an infinite fall through the space-time continuum. Save your game often.

Time to go kick some Illusive Man arse.

So..... apparently this game jumped the shark, and players were pissed. Check out this article. The developers are trying to fix it and make peace, but I'd say the plug was pretty much pulled and life support isn't an option.
