So, I was a'huntin' at Traget just now and they have THREE pegs assigned for the new Marvel Two Packs- priced at $14.99.
I had a retail guy scan the tags, but they are not in the store yet- he said either sunday or monday morning they restock the toys. So- keep your eyes open- a lot of goodness is coming out all at once! An aside, after the disapointment of no new two packs today i noticed two things- first was the Carnage at the frnt of the peg of Spidey figures and second was Iron Man 2 on sale for $13! Needless to say, I bought both. Carnage is really...odd. It's an amazing sculpt and it has these awesome ball joints for shoulders, hips and elbows and knees! On the sucktastic side, the ankles have no articulation and the torso is one solid piece, limiting the poses. WTF? Why make so many great things and then...not go all the way? It's a bit too bright as well- I'll make up a bloody red acrylic wash and tone the red color down to something a bit more menacing. |

Is this supposed to be the sets with Wolverine/Silver Samurai or the First Class Cyclops/Jean Grey?

Carnage is my favorite toy from that Spiderman Line. Is this the Deadpool/Taskmaster set that is coming out along with the Wolverine/Silver Samurai and Cyclops/Jean Grey? Any others that should be in this release?
I want the Taskmasker and Silver Samurai, again im in the position where I only want one of the figures in the 2 packs. |

Overall a pretty good figure from the Spider-man line though although if they went all out on it, then MU would take that over. Most of the Spider-man figures suck in terms of articulation. Interesting to see how the articulation goes for Scorpion and Lizard. I did not like the shade of red that was used for Carnage too. It is too bright. I touched him up with some clear red acrylic paint from Tamiya Color. You can see the before and after pics below. ![]() ![]() |

^The articulation on Lizard definitely sucks. It's more like a staction rather than an action figure. It's a good display piece though.
As for Scorpion, the tail articulation is great. I love posing his tail! Haha! For the actual figure though, the articulation is what you'll expect from this line.. no wrist, waist, and ankle articulation. ps. The Carnage repaint that you made looks great. I gotta try that one time. |

The 3.75" figure. I was overreacting on the articulation though. lol. The figure has knee, elbow, arm, neck swivel, and hips articulation.. but they all feel pretty limited. This is the reason why it seems better as a display piece rather than an action figure, at least for me. |

No surprise on the articulation from the spiderman line. I got lizard and scorpion from hasbrotoyshop that are supposed to ship first week of May. Anybody got pictures of these two? Has anyone seen the new stretch strike venom at stores yet? I noticed that he is on ebay now but the price is redonkulous.

I cannot wait to get Taskmaster and Silver Samurai both figures look amazing , Also on the Spidey thing i think we should take what we can get on these guys as there unlikely to show up in MU all of them have been ok bar Doc Ock he is a horrible excuse for a figure and he deserves to be done properly in MU i am looking forward to getting the new 3 villains though Scorpion, Stretch Venom and Lizard

The best 3 3/4 Spider-Man figure, IMO, is definitely Rhino. Again, the articulation isn't great, but the paint apps, mold, and scale are fantastic. He's a good, solid figure- especially once you take off his stupid shoulder and wrist "armor" pieces to make him more comic accurate.

I'm not sure if anybody has seen the other comic packs coming out. I've seen two packs for quicksilver+ wonderman. I'm guessing these won't be released until later in the year. I don't really care much for the repaint x men first class 2 packs. A sweet 2 pack would be cable and strife. |

That quicksilver/Wonderman is a dream come true- and they look awesome from the images I've seen online- really adds to the Avengers!
...and with Hawkeye, Silver Centurian Iron Man and Wonderman, I'll be able to start that classic West Coast Avengers team! That Carnage repaint/tweak is sweet! I hope to add a bit of black to the hip balljoints on mine- that looks pretty odd: like he's wearing Carnage brand stockings! Rhino is incredible- I have my Secret wars black costume Spidey facing him down and the size diference is amazing! It looks perfect from the comics! I think that Venom I saw was what yuo were talking about- I will look on MOnday when I get back to Target: if it's that hard to find fg, I'll snag it for you. Me, I'm waiting on the new Venom to get a figure- the badass Flash Thompson Venom! |

Spidey Lizard articulation is much better than the 1st Venom's articulation
I think I shall do that too with Carnage, I have Model Master clear red. Yes! New comic packs are showing up at Toys R Us in California! Too bad none of my Walmarts will get any since they are STUFFED with the latest wave. Target isn't so bad. I might just buy up my local Target's stock & return them miles away & hope for the newest set. It seems to work with singles. ![]() |

Yeah, I agree man. When it first came out here, I immediately bought the Lizard and skipped Scorpion. I came out disappointed when I actually opened the Lizard figure. I only bought the Scorpion after watching fxfranz's review. The tail articulation really sold it for me. ;p -- I agree that Rhino is probably the best figure from the Spidey line. It's a shame that I still don't have him. I never saw him in retail here in the Philippines. I only saw him in a hobby shop and he was going for 25 USD. Maybe next time I'll bite. -- BTW, off-topic, the Giant Sized X-men boxset was released yesterday here in the Philippines. I passed because I already have most of the figures included in the set, and I'm only interested in Storm and Thunderbird. Plus, it's being sold for 70 USD in retail here. Yikes. ![]() |

That Colossus btw is different than the Colossus already out. The only figure I don't care for is Nightcrawler. I already have the Wolverine too. |

^Thanks for the offer man, but the shipping fees is not practical because we're from 2 far away countries.
![]() BTW, the Cable wave is not yet released here. We're still awaiting for that like rabid dogs. lol. And I have a feeling that you guys will get it first. US sellers in eBay are popping up selling the new Cable wave.. it probably won't be long before you guys get it in retail. Marvel Universe Cable Series 3 007 | eBay As for the Walmart stickers, I didn't notice it on the Giant box set. The Gigantic Battles definitely have them, though. |

Possibly some bad news boys: i went to a Traget just now (not my usual one though) and they had a bunch of comic two-packs...unfortunately, they were all the older ones.
On the plus side, Tragets are clearancing out their SW "Genosis Arena battle" two packs for $6- and the one I got has some guy named Roth-Del plus a super battledroid. I'm thinking that Roth-Del might be a nice Rhodey head or at minimum, diversify my squad of SHIELD soldiers a bit (I'll have an asian guy, a black guy, four white guys and the Black Widow!). Roth Del: http://www.jedidefender.com/news/ima...oose3_Full.jpg Those arms might go towards a nice Mockingbird custom... |
