I searched the internet for an answer to this and couldn't find one, and even called Hasbro's customer service line today and couldn't get an answer that way either. I am wondering if anyone knows how to determine whether or not you are getting the "normal" or the "variant" 3.75" MU figure for the single-carded items they have in stock. I don't know that I have ever actually seen a variant figure on their site other than an actual numbered variant (a la the Grey Hulk), so if you were to order the Vision, let's say, do you always get the original version? Could you get the variant instead and it's simply luck of the draw and you find out when you open the package after it ships? If anyone knows, please weigh in. Thanks. -Jay

A friend of mine ordered Warpath and Vision and received the variants just last week. Personally I have never known them to ship the variants, so I was quiet surprised when he showed them to me.

I ordered a complete wave 9 package from Hasbro when it was first released, and I got two long haired variant Winter Soldiers. My Iron Patriot came non- variant. As far as Warpath, his red X-men variant figure is all over the place out here now, and the X-Force one is long gone. I suspect that's the case with non-variant Vision figures as well.

If anyone is hoping for an X-Force Warpath, just wait for the X-Force 3 pack to come out. Probably the same figure for both Warpath and Wolverine. Maybe slightly different coloring. I personally only want Deadpool since I have the other two.

Well, I placed a pre-order for Daredevil and asked the same question to customer service. At this time, they do not know, they are asking the headquarters to get an answer.
As soon as I get an answer I will post back.
For now, my gut tells me they will be the variants; at least on figures that had really hard to find variants such as Warpath, Vision and Daredevil. My explanation for this is that Hasbro announced that they were going to do precisely that, realease the hard to get variants of earlier waves.

Since the variants are in the revision cases, it makes sense that the variants will be the ones shipping out.
