I am right with you guys, I love that 90's style Spidey retro card best, and am not fond of the BAF pieces. There was one other Spider-Girl figure I didn't post earlier, but I like this version as well. In this case though, my daughter asked for the BAF piece for an art project, so I guess they can come in handy sometimes

Ha. That's one way to use them. I take it you are a MIMB collector then given that Spider-Girl is still in the box aside from the BAF piece.

I think what happened is that I would buy figures with the best intentions to take them out of the packaging, but instead for whatever reason I ended up storing a good number of them away. That's kind of what's driven me to undertake this project, I think once I have everything sorted I'd like to open up a lot more of them and just have fun with them that way (lots more photography opportunities as well like the cool ones you do!).

Now I'm really curious what you daughter did with that Venom's torso!

I had to ask, it's been awhile, but her recollection was that she attached a smiley face head to the body (not sure on the arms and legs) and she made him into a fry cook. She thinks she has it somewhere in storage still, now I'm curious to see it at some point as well!

I see amazing toys again. Your collection looks huge and splendid. Among the toys you found by chance, there is Iron Man, which is in my collection. It's a beautiful figure from the 80's. I also saw a Pontiac car while looking at the photos of your collection. I also have a different version from 1999, my brother bought it for my birthday. I am attaching both iron man and Pontiac photos here.

I can't wait to see new photos from your collection. Congratulations.

Thank you so much! I love the classic Trans Am, and I really like the look of the Firebird emblem on the hood of yours, very nice. And yes, the classic Secret Wars Iron Man, this is my actual one from childhood. I had the Doc Ock and Wolverine as well, but sadly those got lost at some point, so it brings back good memories seeing yours, I'm glad you shared these pictures

I agree, I think that Jean may be one of the all-time best Bowen statues!

I knew she had to be a Bowen!

I agree completely she is by far one of the best Bowen statues I’ve seen!

Awesome DC stuff! And The Tick, of course. I keep wanting to splurge and get the whole 6" Bandai line, but I'm always deterred because the basic Tick figure always has a discoloured torso when I see them. I only have the PVC line, the Steel Box, and the 16" Talking Tick.

Bowen made some awesome statues that are reasonably priced. I miss those days.

Stikfas! I have 1 figures and it's awesome! I wish they lasted longer and made more figures.

I had several of the Tick PVC line (not sure if they got lost or are in storage), really liked those, but I'm the same with the 6" Bandai line, I keep thinking about it but haven't gone there. I was really happy when I got Die Fledermaus though, my favorite!

I don't know if you saw and/or have interest in the new Tick 5" figures Fresh Monkey Fiction are planning. Unfortunately it's not a full line dedicated to the Tick, but they do have a basic figure (I saw a couple of other ones they are making as well):

Yeah, the Bowen stuff was so much fun, really classic character renditions, I miss those days as well! I had forgotten about Stikfas until I pulled this one out, I had just a few back in the day (they might be lost though), so I'm looking forward to putting this one together. Fully agree, I wish they had kept going with those

I somehow missed this post. Yes! I have the 3 Ticks and The Goon on preorder. I may double up to have them carded, too.

They kind of had me at Barry, I'm thinking of just getting all 3 as well. The Goon looks great too, and I'm tempted to grab a Grendel and maybe even the flight suit Madman (such a Black Adam vibe with that one).

I'm liking the pricing much better on this Longbox Heroes line, the Amazing Heroes stuff was great too and I grabbed Nexus and the Badger (figures I never thought would see the light of day), but I probably would have grabbed E-Man as well if it was priced more like these new ones.

Thanks! Your thread is always reminding me though of more DC figures I want/need haha!

That one has a fun story, it was not an online discovery/purchase, but rather I was walking through the statues and toys section of Midtown Comics in NYC and spotted it. I love the Silver Age Batman story this set is based on (Detective Comics #241), campy and charming at its best, and most unexpected to find an action figure set based on it! I knew that had to come home with me.

Those JSA and JLA PVC sets in particular are outstanding! The Black Canary is perfect in any 1:18 character pics.
I have her and both Alan Scott and Hal Jordan Green Lanterns.
I got them to chop off their heads for customs.
(The MU Kang body is perfect for Alan Scoot).

If you ever free the figures from their plastic prisons, get the great Doctor Strange figure and swap the legs between him and black suit Spiderman.
The Strange figure's legs have extra articulation he doesn't need but that Spidey does.
Makes a good figure absolutely fantastic.

Yeah, Kingdom Come really is a bit of a masterpiece, isn't it? Obviously the gorgeous painted art, but great story as well!

I'm really impressed with these sets as well, sometimes the molds on the small PVC figures can be underwhelming but these are really good (same with the Metal Men set I posted earlier). I wish I had those types of skills with customs!

Thank you! And I appreciate the tip on the leg swap, I do plan to open a lot of these up eventually, sounds like a neat trick to enhance Spidey

For new purchases lately, evidently I've been in a retro mood for G.I. Joe and Star Wars. I really wasn't too drawn to the ReAction figures before, other than a Cyclonus I bought more for the animated movie cardback, but these Scarletts have been calling out to me (even with the lack of articulation!)

Received today:

And my other 2 recent inbound shipments I posted previously in the main "new stuff" thread, but just adding to the theme:
