Hello all, I just joined here and still need to post a proper "introduction thread", but thought I'd jump right in with sharing some of my collection, as well as enjoying the great collections others have posted here.
I'm a long-time collector of many different toy lines over the years, and am now starting to go through a lot of stuff in storage and looking to take new pictures and finally inventory it all. To get started I'll share a number of old pictures I've already got hosted. My favorite themes tend to be superheroes and Star Wars, and in that spirit my first post (with an upload attachment per the first post rules) is a DC Direct Legion of Super-Heroes figure set based on their early 80's comic book era. EDIT: Now that I can post links, here's also the linked version: Last edited by Kang; 06-04-2023 at 12:21 PM.. |

Very pleased to meet you. I have been collecting for more than 20 years. I'm always excited to see other people's different collections.

Next up, some of the old Toys R Us DC/MOTU 2-packs. I picked up a number of these in person back in the day, absolutely love this line:

Wow it's really exciting to see this special series. I think it was released in 2010. The figures are very beautiful and of course, the most important part is the box designs. Maybe that's why it's hard to take it out of the box. Congrats.

Thanks! I do have a mix of loose versus carded figures (because it's absolutely fun to play with and stage them of course!), but agree, the packaging is very nice with these!

Can't go too far into this without some Star Wars
This is where it all started for me... Vintage carrying case: Figures inside: And then in action: On the modern side, a Gentle Giant jumbo Boba Fett with a vintage figure to show the scale difference: More modern Boba Fett: Close-up of the rocket-firing one...my favorite! A couple of other more recent acquisitions: |

Last post for tonight, but many more to come as I continue to dig through and photograph the collection.
A fun little set of pictures I did based on some Silver Age DC figures: Not sure if there are any MST3000 fans here, but these are full scale working replicas: Last edited by Kang; 08-28-2022 at 06:46 PM.. |

Nice collection. I completely forgot that Mattel crossed DC Universe Classics over with the Masters of the Universe Classics until I saw those pictures. Those are cool.

The new photos look amazing. I see a very clean and organized collection. I think you care too much about that. Congrats. A truly brilliant and fun collection. Seeing old collectibles made me both emotional and happy. Star Wars is out of my field, but I wish I had a Darth Wader collector case. All of your Star Wars figures are in their package and very clean. Congratulations, very nice collection.

Truth be told, I do not feel very organized at all at this point, but I'm glad my pictures suggest otherwise, I'm trying to finally sort through everything. It will take awhile, but I think it will be a lot of fun. My original Star Wars toys were well played with back when I was little, but sadly got thrown away by my parents. I was able to find this set years later as a replacement (including the same case I used to have), and they were invidually bagged like you see. I was originally going to take them out of the bags because I do like playing with them (they weren't meant to be only display pieces), but I liked how handy the bags were for storage to keep the loose weapons from shifting around. I also love that Darth Vader case, I had one during the Empire Strikes Back era (my old case ran out of room), would love to get another one at some point as well. With my current toys, I've most enjoyed having my daughter to share them with over the years. We have torn open many a "collectible" figure from their packaging because we thought it would be fun for whatever adventure we were having As I get through more of the collection, I will post some more, thank you again for sharing your kind thoughts, this seems like a very friendly community! |

Thank you, I appreciate the very kind words! Seeing old collectibles has a very similar effect on me, I love the nostalgia as they transport me back to different times in my life.

It's great that you got lucky with Star Wars. Storage in the box prevents some parts from getting lost. It must be so much fun to collect with your daughter. Of course, some collectible figures can be unboxed. I open boxes of many toys. I don't just unbox a few of my toys. This is because I can go back to my childhood and always enjoy looking at the wonderful box designs. good old days. . Congrats again.

How am I just seeing this, your collection is amazing.
I am so jealous of your Lois lane statue and spider woman bust, they are such lovely pieces. I actually have the same star sapphire bust you have, she’s always been one of my favorite villains and when I saw it online I knew I needed her in my collection. |

All of those pieces you mentioned are some favorites for me as well, and so cool you have the Star Sapphire bust too, didn't they knock it out of the park with that one? Even the base looks awesome. Yeah, she is a VERY cool villain, I totally agree |

And by the way how is the hawkman bust?, I’ve been eyeing it because of my lifelong love for hawkman but I never actually got it and I’m just wondering if he’s worth it. |
