oh great.. diecast.. i'd rather have a plastic version.

all diecast does is hike up costs/prices, and degrade joints.

Look like the best thing for this line was how badly Mattel handled it.

Here's hoping they at least improve the plastic.

I'm curious about the scale. Aside from the base and storage options for the accessories, I really don't see a reason to replace my Trendmasters verison with this.

If it hits B-n-M retail at a decent price I might still pick it up, though.

So the solicited February release date was just another lie. Wonderful. Oh and now it's slated for April? Guess that means it'll come out April 15th. Of course, I've purchased tables for the first two weekends of April, so why wouldn't it show up late like everything else I order? Good Lord I can't wait to be selling my own line and not have to deal with these games.

It's about 12" tall. It's the same Voltron toy Toynami has been hawking for almost a decade now. The latest release has lights and sounds but otherwise is the same toy.

Man there's so many of these I can't keep them striaght. Die-cast is a frightening concern. But maybe since this is, what, the ten-billionth version they've done it won't be so expensive?

Thanks for the info. But if that's the case, I am far less impressed. I've passed on the older Toynami stuff because it didn't seem to be any better than the Trendmasters set I already owned. Still, if the price is right....

We could only be so lucky.

...uh...but wouldn't you still have to buy the toys that aren't made by you, and therefore still "deal with these games"? I don't get this.

We are not so lucky. It's $225. You can go to BBTS right now and get the all plastic version for $50 less than that.

Voltron Lion Force Gift Set (Plastic Version) - Voltron Figures

It's all plastic, but it will actually stand up on its own unlike the diecast metal version.
