Fox To Develop Live Action The Spectre TV Show For DC Comics!
Sounds like it is going to happen. I think it would be awsome and has the chance of being the coolest comic book series EVER. What are your thoughts?

If you've seen the animated short about the Spectre DC released not too long ago then you can most likely imagine how awesome a Spectre television show would be.

I did see, many, many times. I love the whole "Wrath of God" thing. Another reason I love Ghost Rider too.

First i've heard, but would be pretty damned cool.
Can't see it lasting very long, though. I really like that superheroes are becoming so mainstream, that several networks are taking big risks on superhero concept shows. But they're still not lasting. No Ordinary Family was one of the best shows on TV last season, but it didn't get renewed. And in fact, my local station even took it off air a couple times to broadcast Paid Programming and local BS morning shows. "Good Morning Texas, PM!" ugh. The Cape was pretty cheesie, but it had potential it never even had the chance to exploit before it was canceled. I'm still kinda bitter about Green Arrow not getting off the ground. I've been preaching for years that Arrow could be DC's strongest franchise to take out of the comics.

They should treat it like American Horror Story -- minus the kinkiness. If each episode is a little horror tale/parable, with the climax being the fantasy-based punishment...that'll be fun.
Like the Ostrander book, they'd have to build a larger story of course. |
