What Is Your Favourite Scale For Figures?

Hi! I was wondering what your favorite scale is (height) for figures?

3.75/4 all the way. I do collect TMNT and Lanterns (Green, Red, etc.) in any scale, but everything else is stuck to that one.

This is also why I favor mega blocks minifigs, and the candy toy model kits of sentai mecha. For display purposes and even poseability at that size, they take up less room and yield all the same experiences the much larger DX/Bandai versions give.

But in some instances bigger is better. Like the close to 3 foot tall Godzilla figure. It really depends on what you want or prefer.

Like the 3 foot Godzilla next to Megabloks CoD or Halo minifigs is outright gold.

I collect what I like.

I have a diorama dedicated to 3.75" simply because I can display 150-200 figures all in a relatively small space. I also collect Legends and a few other 6" figures and I have an Ikea Detolf with nothing but MCU legends in it, but it looks quite full and I only have 30-35 figures in it.

Personally I like 3.75 a bit more because of how much love the line was given for years. Now that Paint apps, articulation, and choice of plastic have all gotten significantly worse on the 3.75" scale and the 6" legends scale gets all of Hasbro's love and attention, I would say the safer bet would be collect the bigger figures.

For Super-Heroes, I go for the 6 or 7" lines.
Star Wars, I'm getting both 6 & 3.75
G.I Joes, no choice but 3.75
All in one, I prefer 6/7" figures for better sculps, but don't hate smaller size when it's well done.

3.75. I would not have the space for larger figures and having playsets and dios lets me photograph them in an immersive environment, where they are completely inside their world. Unless you have your own warehouse to keep your collection in, really good backgrounds are space prohibitive.

Depends on the figures... GI Joe and Star Wars, 3.75" to accommodate vehicles and big battle scenes.

For superheroes, 6" ever since Marvel Legends debuted.

Assorted "collector" movie figures, 6"-7", a la NECA.

1/24-ish scale (Minimates, Mega Bloks, those Microverse figures Hasbro makes) so they can go with certain Transformers, the occasional 6-7", 8" AKA Mego scale, and 1/6. I'm not a big fan of 3 3/4".

3.75 All the way!!! Baby!!! The space for them and for the Dioramas/ Other Toys, I can put together for them. Ever since the 80s GI Joes toys, I'd always envision Marvel figures and when Hasbro bought out Toybiz. My dreams have finally come true...

I prefer 6-7". There have been very few smaller figures that have caught my eye. Growing up, I had 100s of GI Joe RAH figures, but even as a tike, the lack of detail and face sculpts turned me off. 7", for me, are the best of both worlds, detail and affordability. I don't care about articulation, at all, so I should be a statue collector, but there's just something about plastic….

Yeah, its cheaper. I can get one big bronze statue or a thousand tiny plastic ones.

I seem to own a lot of Micronaut/Microman toys which are 3.75" scale, and the other side of the room is 18" 1/4 scale figures and some 1/1 scale stuff. I never really got bitten by the 'action figure' collecting bug (aside from Micronauts), its always mostly just been 'toys' in general.

I don't understand the question. Figures are 3.75. There isn't another scale ... unless you mean 6 inch dolls??!!? I'm just kidding. Don't ban me! Seriously for me Joe and Star Wars made the bulk of my childhood collection so I've kept with that scale. I came back to figures at the very end of New Sculpt Joes and while the figures were underwhelming the vehicles are pretty awesome. Little down time and then the 25th Joes came out. Back in love with 3.75. Then not too terrible much time later I discovered the 3.75 MU. It was a perfect storm and 6 inch never figured (pun intended) in to my collections.
