I don't know why but I feel very meh about this. I know vinyls are a bit pricey but this seems like a lot for an 8" figure, I just don't see the detail there that they usually have. Plus it's annoying they have clear shots of the left/right/back of the figure but not straight on.

$90? That's ridiculous, I'd spend like $40 on this at the very most. I hope they rerelease it internationally at a more reasonable price later in the year.

I think the reason it's 8 inches is to put it in scale with the 25cm Godzilla that X-Plus is putting out. X-Plus and Star Ace are connected companies.

				 | Quote: Wouldn't he still be a little small? 25cm is about 10 inches. I saw it was being distributed by Bandai so thought they were doing it. I didn't realize X-Plus/Star Ace did anyt vinyls with articulation, limited as it may be. |

Well, the Godzilla comes in at 10.5 inches I think, and if Kong is 8 inches that sounds about right. Kong is a smaller beast. I don't think $90 is that bad a price for the vinyls. Check out the eBay prices on these vinyl imports- there are some staggeringly overpriced items. Star Ace will be a MUCH more detailed figure than the McFarlane gorilla. |

It's obviously the Monsterverse Kong from Skull Island, but it's not the best likeness. For $90 you get the roaring expression, closed fists, and articulation at the shoulders only. This is an easy pass as much as I'm dying for a Skull Island Kong. |
