Now that most of us have had a chance to play Batman: Arkham City, what are your thoughts? Did you like the characters, their design, the storyline, etc.?

Loved it. Most of the designs were great (especially Freeze and Ra's) but the ending kind of just left me going "wtf?" you know. Great game none the less.

i thought it was a good story and im hopeing for a third one , the design was awsome my jaw dropped when i saw catwoman and talia al gul although i was disappointed about the last riddler mission ( i know its a side one) but compared to mister freeze it was more challegeing compared to riddler also i found it too easy ... on normal diffuculty. If they make a third one i hope its based around gotham city where you can explore gotham city as well as drive batman's vechiles i.e the batwing , batmoblie , batbike etc.

I liked the majority of the game as well, and when it ended I just wanted to continue playing. The side missions felt like they lacked something though, and some of the obscure characters that pop up could have used some more screen time and a lot more to do with the challenges (Azrael and Hush for instance). They were cool, but I would have preferred more game content that involved those characters instead of keeping it so basic and brief. Also, Hugo Strange starts out as a very interesting character, but by the end of the game I felt uninterested in him and that really pulled me out of the gaming experience.

I think it was a lot like the original.

I found the urge to play it through in Detective Mode, but at the same time annoyed when it was in Detective Mode.

I know what you mean. I tried detective mode but once I reached Penguin's mansion and had to do that fight against 20+ guys, it was fucking impossible. I like challenging games, but I don't want to get pissed off over and over again. Also, I wonder if the game's crazy ending was mark Hamill's way of dropping the Joker persona. Did anyone else hear about the pregnancy test in his office?
