This doesn't look like Lego. Mario is too square. One less thing to buy. The S.H. Figuarts stuff was good

Clearly these aren't meant for the collector's market, but it's possible they'll still do traditional themed LEGO sets with Mario. For now though it appears that the idea is simpler builds with the advancement being in how you put together the levels for your Mario to traverse (and setting up challenges with completing the level in the time limit and how many coins you can collect).

I really don't wanna come off like a dick here but... What the hell were you thinking, Nintendo and LEGO??? I assume they couldn't make minifigures of the characters due to some asinine licensing agreement, but these don't even look like LEGO's! A minimalistic build and a chibi Mario figurine? Imagine if they'd been able to make sets like the Minecraft ones! You'd sell out every time!

Yeah this looks fine as a kids game, but if you're building to display this doesn't look good or fun for that at all.

My 6 year old will love this. He can build his own game in the physical world. He loves Mario builder so this will be great. This is not geared towards us. This is for kids.....like most toys, despite what we want to believe. If kids don’t get back in to toys, us adult collectors can kiss our future toys goodbye.

Eh this wasn’t what I had pictured in my mind but I guess it’s a start to more items coming out.

That actually looks pretty cool and fun! We've gotten Kinex Mario stuff to build with, so they had to up the ante with Lego anyway. Nintendo is always about coming up with new ways to play and it can be seen here. It may not LOOK like what we would expect and I'm sure many of us would love some standard Mario Lego sets, but I think this is a cool way to launch things. Maybe in the future we'll get some more typical sets for Mario.

I was onboard with the concept of Mario Legos, but those have got to be some of the worst Legos I have ever seen. Can they just continue The Simpsons line already?

Hopefully they make more Simpsons Lego sets not just the minifigures because those builds were amazing...

There was so much potential for them. Moe's Tavern, Springfield Elementary, Town Square, the Power Plant, the treehouse, Android's Dungeon, Krusty's studio, Sideshow Bob's prison cell, and even Treehouse of Horror related stuff.

These look good for my kids' b-day and xmas gifts. Not something I'd personally buy.

Wow. They are trying to wear me down with sheer quantity. I still want regular minifigs, LEGO. |

I'd be interested in seeing a game or video crossover to go with the toys. Seeing Mario in a Lego-style game would be adorable. Even as a 40+ year old, the lego games are my favorites just because how they balance the action, story telling, and humor. They really are enjoyable games.

Still such a weird decision to move off the mini-figure look. Like basically take any popular property and slap the look on a mini-figure to print money.
