I posted my perspective not as a personal challenge to you, nor an indictment of your character. The presentation of my take on the posting of other people's pictures in a space initially intended for members to post their own pics, is secondary (although, still a courtesy I consider important to be paid). The real issue, for me, is using other people's content without their knowledge, permission, or providing them proper credit. Especially in a space that's considered quasi artistic in nature. I'm well aware of the opinion that anything posted to the web is free game. This notion is very common and understandable. What I'm attempting to do is draw awareness to another opinion; that of artists and their feeling apprehensive when sharing their art for fear of exactly these sorts of appropriations. Feel free to post whatever you want, it's your prerogative and no one can stop you. My opinion on the matter is similar to my take on a number of things in life; all because I 'can' do something doesn't mean that I 'will' do it...but that's me.

personally I just didn't want any newbs\semi-newbs to NOT post some hot shit they saw someplace, just because it wasn't theirs...

Well, your response to what I posted read a bit more defensive than what you are now suggesting. When you invoke language questioning "unspoken rules" in reference to what was a pretty innocuous post on my part, where else am I to go in my thinking?

I appreciate seeing COOL STUFF as the title of the thread implies, regardless of the source. Though many of us choose to post our own original work, never did I feel this thread should isolate images/shots/photos that were not produced in that manner.

And I own an embarrassing amount of their merch.
That new Star Lord head sculpt looks a lot better up close than I originally thought. I still prefer the long coat of the original, but it looks like I'll be buying that and displaying both.

Even the Funko plushies, and I haven't owned any stuffed toy since I was seven. I swear on Cosmo's wet little nose that's exactly how I sold the movie when I was visiting my parents for a couple days over Christmas break, I was trying to convince my mom to watch Guardians of the Galaxy with me and told her it was my Star Wars. She's a Star Wars fangirl herself, so she immediately understood.

Nice to find others who share that enthusiasm. Show off your collection, sounds like it dwarfs even mine!

You keep being awesome, lady, and you can do anything you like. You may need to shrink the dimensions just a touch to keep it within allowable board signature parameters, but maybe it's fine. This forum doesn't seem to want to let me post special BB code revisions or switch to html, but the dimensions you probably want are 460 width and 196 height.

And yessss, this summer is going to be wallet-wrecking and I welcome it fully. Gonna be swimming through happy plastic things Scrooge McDuck style just to get to my front door, and I'm okay with that.
