Thanks. It's a pretty satisfying toy, although I gave it to a little kid after the shoot.

Thank you and hi - nice to see some familiar faces around here!

Like Monte said..you can post anything here you like. A good percentage of posts aren't really "fighting". In fact, the more creative/different/clever, the better.
..and yea I believe the ladies around here are definitely in the minority, but that has nothing to do with enjoying this hobby..so... welcome ( i just noticed you're new round these parts ) You can spend hours in this very thread going back over some absolutely amazing pictures. ![]() I do enjoy pictures by everyone who is not afraid of taking them out of the package and having fun in any way. I do prefer the funny / silly ones, but I also love when figures are photographed in nature settings, like Monte's above - great shot! I should do that more often. Okay, so here is the totally opposite of fighting - la famille Spiderman ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Astra; 04-29-2018 at 01:22 AM.. |

Yeah ,it was pretty good..its basically her origin story and plays out a little like Mad Max Fury Road. There were some things that were predictable and some minor inconsistencies. Overall though it was an entertaining read. Phasma comes off like a badass of course but a shitty person (in a good villainous way) who does a lot of messed up stuff in the book. But you never really get in her head cause most of the book is told from someone else's point of view-the person recounting the events wasnt even involved in Phasma's story and is just repeating what was told to her.

Sounds like it was done under the same attitude of the team that just did her comic mini-series. I'm guessing that this was no accident and whoever is in charge of storytelling probably gave out similar guidelines to both projects. I guess those guidelines were "make her seem more in charge and awesome in combat than we saw in TFA but with emphasis on how much of an evil person she really is through the story." There is no "hey look she's really got a heart of gold" moment just stuff to remind us that we're reading a story about one of the villains. I really appreciate that though. It's kind of refreshing to read a villain character in Star Wars without it getting spun on us as them actually being good deep-down or only evil because of some tragedy or forced situation.

Yeah, I was reading through some of the synopsis for the comic book and noticed how it seemed they were on point with her characterization between the comic and novel.
Also, it seems as if her characterization in these spinoffs has retroactively softened that scene on Starkiller base in TFA. No doubt that was done by design as well. Gonna pick up the series whenever it comes out in TPB. |

I'm working on redoing my displays, and I took a picture of MOTUC He-Man. And I decided to some quick playing around in Photoshop.
Here is the original picture. ![]() After removing the articulation seams. ![]() A little level adjusting. ![]() Adding some glow effects. ![]() And here is a prisma filtered version after messing around in Photoshop. ![]() And here is a blend of my photoshop edits and the prisma filter. ![]() Last edited by 1987olds442; 11-27-2017 at 01:03 PM.. |

I really like the second to last picture, it looks like an old movie poster!
