Already posted some pics in the Figuarts thread, but this enterprising lady arrived a couple of days ago. As a horror collector I’d highly recommend it.

Overall, the set is solid but pretty underwhelming for me. I've come to realize that I just plain don't like the design of Onslaught itself rather than it being a slight on the toy which really hits high on the "marks" of being a good piece. The "Hunter" Assasin is also a great toss-in and takes the price from "Ok" to a good deal.

Here are some pics from the gallery section:

I get asked every so often for pictures in Wallpaper format so I went ahead and gave it a go for once. This one is 1920 x 1080. I don't know how to do "Thumbnails" so if it stretches the site for people I'll just hot link it instead:

Today I am in the local newspaper in a kind of lookback to the year:

I have let myself scanned to be made into Mini-Mes:

That way I can act in my own scenes!

Back in March there was this bigger article. The headline reads "Sightseeing with Captain Kirk". To amuse the editors I made these pictures of Kirk and the other figures reading said article:

Thanks guys! I can only recommend the experience. Surely there is a shop nearby you that does this too. Not exactly cheap, but well worth it. It's only a statue, no joints, so think well of your pose and what you're wearing before. They would even do an 1:6 one, but that would have been like 400 Euros or so... You can also get even smaller versions.

Apparently it's the next cool invention. Who needs photographs anymore? I once saw that they did that in Japan, but had no idea there was a shop right here in my home-town. After me a family with a little kid was scanned. I also heard of a guy who let scan his head and put himself onto an Iron Man figure LOL

Wow, what an honor!
I'm afraid I am too big for Mezco Kirk. My figures are in 1:10 scale as that is where I have the most figures (Stargate, Star Trek, Gotham, Arrow, Flash)

Mezco is in 1:12 I believe. I just held us next to each other and we come up to the same height, but William Shatner should be a bit larger than me in real life. Not much, only by 5", but still. So in side-by-side comparison his head would be too small.

I somewhat cheated in this picture buy putting him into the background so the size difference wouldn't be as obvious:

I agree, I also always love such artsy pictures, even though I not always know all these guys.

That’s brilliant. Wow!

Could make an interesting thread. ‘What pose would you have for a figure of yourself?’.

I’d probably go for being a Jason Voorhees victim.

I'd definitely steal Astra's idea and have my toy self capturing a photo.

Good idea! Both for the pose and the thread. Go for it!

Actually that was not my idea. It was the idea of the guy who scanned me. I had shown him some of my figure pictures and he was excited about the possibilities. I told him that I have no idea how to pose, and it always looks awkward. I can't do "cool". So he came up with the idea of the photocamera and I thought it was brilliant. At first he had suggested I wear a Star Trek uniform, but for one I don't own one and two it would have limited my chances with Stargate or Gotham figures. I wanted something neutral.

I should send him some of the pictures. Maybe he wants to hang them onto his wall

I took these pictures both with Diamond Select and Mezco.

And my fight poses still suck Plus I totally forgot to use the Kirk that already comes bleeding or with dirty clothes. Or at least my selfmade one with the torn shirt. Missed opportunity.

That would make them authentic to the choreography of the series!

Astra those figs of you are great!!!.
and you say casually like..."surely there is a shop nearby..go get a few made"..lol...
I've never seen/heard of any place that did something like that anywhere over here. In fact..in the collecting communities......I"ve never seen ANYONE else with lil' figures of themselves...you are unique in that sense.

i'd 100% go get a 1:12 figure of myself to put on display.

none the less....those are cool and i'm glad you joined our little community here
