I thought this movie was a flop due to it walking the border of making/losing money (The movie had a 400 million worldwide take, but after a 150-200 mil cost, plus almost the same in marketing and distribution, it's definitely relying on future television rights and streaming deals to make any real money).

I'm surprised this has so much memorabilia. I really need to see it sometime. Just waiting for it to appear on Netflix or Disney+.

It does. Would look great in a comicbook shop window or a theater manager's office. I couldn't see it in my living room, however.

It's funny as fans of the movie (like myself) don't feel there is enough. Most of us are scraping by whatever they give us.

Oh, I'm sure. I'm not faulting it at all. I haven't seen the film yet, and I loved the anime from the 90's. I read tons of lukewarm reviews, and "nerd" friends of mine who usually talk up ANYTHING scifi never brought it up, so I just assumed it was like Battlefield Earth or Speedracer.

I've seen a few things popping up for it lately, and a lot of excited fans (like yourself) commenting about it lately, so as I said, I'm going to have to check it out.

The original anime is still a favorite of mine. The live action film pays a lot of respect to the anime and manga, while doing its own thing as well. It's really worth a watch. Rosa Salazar's performance and the special effects are the high points of the film.
