Maybe I'm behind the curve on this one...but spotted this excerpt from the SDCC blog:

"SDCC 2011 Exclusive Dark Purple Sentinel:

Following in the footsteps of the blister-carded version of Galactus that was exclusively sold at the San Diego Comic-Con last year, this exclusive version of the Sentinel will be packaged in a giant blister card as well. The figure will feature exclusive artwork by artist Joe Quesada specially made for the SDCC version of the Sentinel."

I need at least two- one in classic colors and one to make the "Captain America Sentinel" from the Days of Futures Past RPG modules- where each Sentinel was repainted to match the famous hero they had killed, as sorta a morale crushing gesture by the Master Mold.

It's damn creepy too.

I haven't followed comics much lately, but that sentinel killer paint scheme sounds sick, good concept, I would love to have half a dozen of these bad boys but the $50 price tag the sdcc figure is probably going to get if not more.. and the original colors of the non exclusive suck haha, and I don't feel like repainting these giant plastic pieces, 2 much time.

Gotta find a better pic though...I'd paint mine to have a bunch of the Captain America paint sceme peeling off to reveal bare steel and sentinel colors underneath.

I've been working on a custom Marvel Icons Iron man for like a year, keep repainting it and finding better color schemes, I love the detail and stuff painting it, but there's so many damn angles and edges,corners it takes hrs to do a proper base coat. I like painting just don't have the time to do a lot, I'm just saying if the sdcc and regular sentinel are same price I'll be getting the sdcc rather then buy the regular and paint it to match. I've been working on some custom what if, comic crossover more or less what if Bruce Wayne had access to and stole Tony Stark's tech, I've been making a mark 1, mark 3 etc, along with a conan styled batman.. pics will be loaded soon enough
