I also asked if he could just do a quick bit for the video of the festival I was putting together but he wanted me to pay for him to do it.

Ari Leahman, on the other hand, was amazing. He gave us an autographed CD for free when we were buying a poster to get autographed and did a bit for my video without asking for a single cent.

I'm sorry that your experience with Kane wasn't so great. To be fair, Kane was about 15 minutes late to his autograph appearance, but it was because his photo opportunity session ran overtime, and he was pretty apologetic to those of us waiting the extra time. He was courteous, and very friendly on that day, and took his time chatting with each of his fans, giving me a thumbs up on my cosplay as well as a few compliments, and while I had paid for my photo op in advance, he did give a some freebies to couple of small children dressed in Jason costumes, even calling over fellow horror icon Tony Todd (who was in the next booth) for a group shot.

He did take a tone with one fan though who gave him a Funk Pop of Jason, which is in his Freddy vs Jason look, (that alone made me cringe, since Kane was very vocal in his discontent for being passed up for the role in the film.) and the fan made a remark that Part 6 was his favorite film...to which Kane responded calmly, but in a firm voice "I wasn't in either of those you know..." He also took exception to the blue eye on my NECA figure he autographed, asking me if his eyes looked blue, to which I told him that he needs to get at NECA and tell them to get with the program, as we've got a Freddy figure for nearly every movie he was in, and we still haven't got any updated figures of of the Jasons played by Kane on screen. To that he said, "That makes me want to kill somebody..." =P

This awesome fellow showed up today.
I mostly wanted to ask if Mythic Legions backers are getting their figures? I got Thord Ironjaw in the mail today, still waiting on them to ship two other Dwarf figures, a weapons pack, and one of the birds. They've had these things in their warehouse for almost a month now. I love the Four Horsemen and their Kickstarter projects deserve every bit of the success they've accrued, but getting purchases out to their fans has left something to be desired.
Wow, that looks like an awesome version of the dwarf i had from D&D toys when I was a kid.

I'm really happy about this score. I need to find one spring for the landing gear door, but other than that I just need the chute and Ace. I'm going to clean it up, and replace all the decals in the next week or two. Thankfully the decals that are on it now are in pretty good spots.

I had that guy, too! I can't remember if he had a name, I think it was just "Dwarf Fighter"?

A friend of mine turns 28 this week, and she's a gigantic MOTU and World of Warcraft nerd. So I bought her some cards from the old WoW TCG, which included a scratch off loot card for an in-game pet. And an "Adam Eternum" card, a dude in Shattrath who is clearly an homage to He-Man. (since this card was printed, his NPC model was removed from the video game)

Here are my purchases from the past week or so:

I was lucky to snag these Icons figures of Superman and Harley from my LCS today. They were the last ones left, and according to the guys at the shop, they had been flying off of the shelf.
I'm about to open them, and I'm very VERY excited !

I honestly had no interest in Jessica Drew, at all, in the past, but I've been enjoying the Spider-Women crossover (featuring her, Silk, and Spider-Gwen) so much that I decided I needed a figure of her to go along with my Spider-Gwen and upcoming Silk figure.

SOOOO excited that Matchbox decided to do another Jeep series !

And here are a few Pops, for the one or two other Pop collectors here

My comic shop didn't get anyone in but Harley, who was their entire case.

Thankfully I preordered Superman and Aquaman from BBTS.

those look really good MIB. IMO it's a bad idea to open them to display. I have four I opened I'm trying to sell now.

I nearly bought DC Icons Superman as well but it was rather pricey.

You have chosen... poorly.

:-)

You said Superman was pricey but wasted your money on Happy Meal-quality Ghostbuster toys from what is going to be the worst movie of the year.

Well I bought the Ghostbusters before I knew the comic store had Icons in stock, but I'm really looking forward to the film and the figures aren't that bad honestly. In terms of sculpt and deco (and scale) they fit in with Marvel Legends very well, maybe even a bit more paint than some. Articulation isn't terrible either, can pose them fairly well for characters that won't be doing gymnastics. I'll be getting the remaining two, but maybe after I get Superman.

I went back to the local comic store to pick up Icons Superman but it had sold, along with all the other Icons figures. So I picked up the last two Ghostbusters instead. No photo because I'm lazy.
