I really wish they would have kept an online presence during the last few months.

Had some good fortune at TRU today. They had a lot of the Godzilla so I had a hard time trying to find the best but I found a really good one still. I also happened upon the Select Muppets wave 2 and got Animal. The torso on Godzilla is a little loose but other than that the figure is great (minor inaccuracies aside). The Animal is good for a toy of a stick man and he's a little tougher feeling than I anticipated which is good but the cymbals and snare drums on the poles fall over easily if not all placed hugging together. Honestly though I see absolutely no reason why anybody should get the full priced version when this $12 TRU release still comes with the entire drum set and the exact same figure while the full priced $25 figure just comes in a bigger box. TRU also had a bunch of the new ultimate Jason but I just ordered one last night because I didn't expect my store to get it so I'll just wait for that one.

Cool. I really need a Godzilla. I've been trying to track a Funko one down for ages, I'd love a poseable one of him too.

My Zilla also has a loose torso, and when I opened mine, had some stuck joints at the elbows due to either some kind of film or overzealous paint application. I had to heat him up, in addition to scraping some of whatever it was that was on top of the swivel with a blade before finally working it free.

Still glad I grabbed him though, as there is something about the MonsterArts one that looks off to me. Getting a decently close representation of this Zilla at a fraction of the cost is rather nice.

Well I definitely recommend this figure and in my experience it was very easy to get since it is very new.

I didn't have any paint-locked joints but I have read that it is a recurring thing people are experiencing with this figure, thankfully the torso being loose is the best possible joint that could be loose because it's just his torso so all it really does is rotate. I don't think the SH one looks off (then again I haven't given it a thorough look-over) but the price on this one is incredibly pleasing.

My disappointingly small PAX Australia haul:

I nearly bought NECA Aliens 3 Ripley wave but they were asking $53AUD ($40usd) for each figure. I really need to get a phone with a better camera.

Yeah I was lucky to find the whole set in one lot. I follow a lot of vintage toy guys on Instagram, and this one guy had a sealed case of them that sold me the whole set for $150. Now I need to find cases to protect them in, if anyone has any suggestions either PM me or link me here.

Today's arrival, courtesy of TRU online...

Intially, when I saw the design, I wasn't too big on it, but after getting this figure in hand, I can honestly say that this could be my second favorite Stormtrooper design, just under the Biker Scout. I really dig the lines on the helmet, and the layout of the armor in general. Very pleased that TRU put these up on their site, because with the way they vanished from stores during the midnight opening, I thought I would never see one.

The shore trooper will be Walmart exclusive, I think they're calling it Scarif trooper since that's where those guys will show up.

Finally came across this at Walmart last night and it surprisingly only rang up as $9 at checkout. Considering that price slash I'm quite pleased with it except for the part where his soft plastic butt part was glued down in between the right thigh and the hip joint so I had to use a hair dryer and a flathead to break the glue and free the joint. I am also disappointed that Mattel ditched giving him an alternate unmasked head as they showed at conventions, not really surprised but still disappointed.

The unmasked Bruce head is coming with a Walgreen's exclusive Flash apparently.

Haven't posted in awhile. Was able to land an original Foot Soldier from my LCS.

Also found some classic re-releases.

Ultimate Leatherface by scarrviper, on Flickr

I had been kicking myself for not picking this figure up last year when I had the chance, so I resorted to ebay. I finally found one for a reasonable price, and I have to say he was worth it. Love the accessories and the sculpt is perfect. I will be repainting the heads for sure.

I pre-ordered Leatherface as soon as I could and yeah it is easily one of my favorite horror figures and certainly the best Leatherface. It's one of the ultimate figures that really shows just how ultimate they can be. The sculpt is terrific, the paint is great, the accessories are smart, and the apron actually being the right kind of vinyl is just icing on the cake. I have now been waiting for NECA to a new dinner scene "pretty lady" Leatherface figure, that one doesn't have to be an ultimate figure though.
