Thanks Guys- The Trump and Putin head casts are great- very sharp detail made them a breeze to paint- if you're looking into getting them I highly recommend it.

Not much in the way of new toys this week, but I did run across a pile of old Reboot figures at a Vintage Stock someone brought in. I know I still have Hack and Slash somewhere in a box but my nostalgia got the better of me for the price. I never did have the second editions w/ the jet pack and rocket hands (the purple one is supposed to be Slash) so I got him also.

I've been planning a trip to an entirely out-of-the-way GameStop for a couple of months, so that I could pick up a Battlestar Galactica Pop that the GS website claimed to be in stock.
I finally made the stupidly long trip today, snagged my Starbuck Pop, and then saw this guy !
They had Qui-Gon too, but no Lando or Tusken Raider.

I figured I'd probably eventually see Qui-Gon at Think Geek or some random GameStop at some point, but I never expected to see the Imperial Guard in stores !

Just for the record, on the Trump/Putin figure topic, sharing them here has nothing to do with politics....they're toys. Controversial, maybe, subjects of hot debate, definitely, but unless folks start sharing things about ideals, agendas and what not, there is nothing inherently political about them other than the figures they represent. They're just toys...and while not my thing, those are some pretty nifty headsculpts.

On to other things...

While I was initially against it as it was yet another re-release of a figure I already have, I also know that these things don't get made if we don't support them in the first place, and I went ahead and grabbed the new Final Chapter Ultimate Jason yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised, as NECA overall did a MUCH better job with this one over the previous one. No loose hips, no stuck joints, better blood effects on the clothes (the weapons on the other hand, are debatable) and while I have been really critical over the heavy-handed washes they have been putting on their figures as of late, it works really well on this particular Jason, who spends a majority of the time in the flim soaking wet from being out in the rain.

About the only gripes I have with mine is that on the figure, there are certain spots that have a pink shading, which looks like it was spots that were marked on the figure to be painted, but weren't quite done within the lines (or covered up for that matter.) A better set of hands would have been nice as well, as the additional hand he comes with is pretty much just for holding the hacksaw/corkscrew. Hopefully this will be the end of the re-releases for a while and we'll get proper, updated versions of some of their older releases soon. (A new Pamela and Sack-Head would be greatly appreciated...)

A part 7 Jason would be incredible!
He could come with alternate masked and unmasked/broken mask heads, a tent spike, Machete, Curved handled axe, scythe, party horn, the weed wacker circular saw and if NECA can afford to show us major love, A sleeping bag victim. Or they can save that to release a F13 accessory bundle since they are already working on the Crystal Lake sign. I really love these F13 delux releases.

Walked into Wal Mart and found a full case of 40th Black Series wave 2.
My Gamestop got in my Qui-Gon I pre ordered, but still waiting on my Royal Guards and Lando to show up. Also picked up the Tiny Tina pop and the Balrog I pre ordered. The Balrog looks so much better when you open him up. He is crammed into that little box.
