![]() ![]() I ordered these on Amazon a few days ago, they arrived today. I would have gotten the Royal Guard if the prices were retail but it looks like I'll have to wait a bit for it to normalize and apparently I'll have to find Qui Gon in person to avoid eye issues. The Tusken Raider is very well sculpted, including his accessories, and it goes to show that Hasbro is still capable of including as much as possible into the black series figures. Compared to some other recent releases I was worried they might have only included one gaffi stick but instead we get the heads to all gaffi variations and the rifle. Lando sports one the best human likenesses in the line and the paint which usually wrecks their faces is actually well done with clean applications for his eyes, facial hair, and lips. It would have been nice if they threw in an E-11 since that's what he uses in the movie but the DH-17 does match the promotional material so I'm fine with that. The little Bespin control key/speaker thing is neat although tiny so some kind of storage would have been appreciated and I like the way they handled his cape like Director Krennic's where it is a flexible plastic instead of fabric so that it can more easily have the interior pattern.

If it weren't for Amazon I wouldn't have these because every store in my area is choking on Cassian figures. Even when Walmart made $10 the current normal price to try and clear them out the only ones that sold were Jyn and Krennic. Overall the Rogue One waves seem to have majorly stagnated the line, the Krennic and red-armed 3PO wave was the last new one any of my stores got until the 40th anniversary stuff. I have yet to see the Revan wave or the Chirrut wave in person at any regular retail stores. Hopefully soon they'll just purge the pegs so they can actually get new stuff again since I also want the Royal Guard and Qui Gon. I really like this line but Hasbro continues to demonstrate complete incompetence with regards to what they double pack and redistribute.

I have not seen a new figure in store since Krennic, and that was nearly 6 months ago, as all of my stores are choking on Jynn, Cassian, and Rey (where's Rey...oh...there she is...again...) not to mention I can still find a ton of Zuvios and Guavian Enforcers from TFA just about anywhere as well. Thank goodness that there really isn't many characters left that I want at this point. Give me a Dooku, Rex, Plagueis (sp?) and the rest of the Rebels cast and I'm good. |

I had to resort to picking up a case in order to get Kenobi, Revan, and Sabine, and have never seen any of the Chirrut/Baze wave anywhere. I have put off buying a case for those two because I don't feel like purchasing a case with figures I already have, and I don't feel like taking what the aftermarket gives me either because the prices for them are getting stupid.
and @ 2000 posts....i'm official!! that i or spend way too much time on an action figure chat board.. ![]() ![]()

So this was waiting for me when I got back from Texas and I honestly have to say this is hands down the most disappointing Omnibus I have picked up thus far.
It's well made, but why they even bothered to put Part 4 of 4 or Part 2 of 5 and Part 5 of 5 in there is beyond me. I know they might have been done by Larsen, but give me the whole fucking story then. It does me no good to only own one story of a multipart adventure, ESPECIALLY the last part. Not to mention this happens a few times throughout the book. Oh, and then there is the lack of letter pages. WTF? Every other Spider-Man Omnibus I own has the letter pages intact. Why does this not? There are no essays about the content in the book either and some of the covers are not even a full page, just an image of the cover with an essay on Larsen for that issue. I have no idea why Marvel even bothered with this half assed lazy release. It was not worth the $60 I paid and it is disappointing that I can not return it for a refund. If you don't have this yet, wait until the price drops to like $25, then it will be worth it. ![]()

Thanks. I had passed on this one a couple times. First time was at a store that had the price hiked way too high. Then I spotted a few at TRU, but I only went in there with cash for the Ultimate Jungle hunter, so had to skip him again. Yesterday I found him while on a roadtrip, I didn't want to go home empty handed this time. I'm glad I got him, the QC is solid, no stuck joints, and the paint on the heads is actually superior imo, to the ultimate version. The only weird thing about him is that his hands were covered in some kind of clear grease, just like how the alternate heads from the ultimate motorcycle cop T-1000 had the same issue. Thankfully it came right off with a wet cloth. |

Picked up a set of cast heads from ebay last week and finally threw some paint on them. Trump and Putin now stand ready to command heroes and villains about the world stage that is my desk space! Putin (if the leaked reports are true) stands 5'6 - so a DarkKnight Harvey Dent body was the perfect fit for him. Trump, at 6'2 and a bit heftier, went on a WWF body (swapped hands, added a flag pin, painted his tie...) the heads aren't really made for the wrestlers, so I had to remove the neck peg, heat the trump head and just wedge it as far down on the neck as it would go- I think it came out OK

I'll agree with this. The only head from the ultimate T2 version that had consistently good paint was the battle damaged version, it was common to find sunglasses and plain heads with strange lips or eyebrows. I had to compare quite a few ultimates before I found one with good heads and good accessories and even then I still display it with the damaged head because that one came out the best.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure it was a Ricardo Rodriguez announcer figure (he was a BAF I think) I cut off his bow tie and added a regular business tie. I like this suit color the best and it is a bit bigger than the suited bodies in the 2pk (but not as big as the Triple H suited figure... it was my stand in for Hammerhead spare head in my Spiderman case...) The hands I swapped him to were from the movie Dr.Strange figure- they plugged right in without any modification, which was nice.

Oh ok, thanks for letting me know. I quickly ebay searched the Rodriguez figure, and it seems there were two of them. The BAF version and a basic Series 34 one with his bow tie in the Mexican flag colors. There doesn't look to be any difference except the price, almost $40 for the BAF and only $15 for the other one. Maybe I'll have to give this custom a try...

every time i see that pics of Lando and the Tusken raider it just makes me want them more. They really do look sooo good and i think Hasbro is getting even better with them.
i want to walk into and store and get excited like a little kid and see rows of the new figures. i want to buy 3 sandpeople, 2 guards, 1 lando, 1 Qui-Gon, 2 snowtroopers, 2 At-At drivers, Baze, Chirut, and Darth (i forgot his name..ha). a brutha can dream can't he....

So it's the 13th but not a Friday, close enough. This finally got delivered today and thankfully nothing was out of sorts so I won't have to find one in store to exchange with it.
![]() So technically this is my first ultimate Jason because it's actually my brother who has the other two (fun fact/reminder: two people share this account) and I feel like NECA knocked another one out of the park with this release. The part 6 figure was troubled with loose hips and then part 3 had the paint inconsistency from the neck to head section but with this figure nothing is loose and all the paint tones match. As a figure this is probably the best built of the three. The accessories are all nicely sculpted and well made (nothing rubbery or frail) and the blood paint is a nice touch on the weapons except for one, the machete doesn't look quite like it's been used to slash someone open as much as it seems like Jason dipped it into a pool of blood. Both masks are in good shape and go on and off with relative ease though there is some very minute misplacement where the chevrons go from red to grey, they don't line up 100% but it's easy to forgive since the grey is so faded. Overall it's an awesome figure of one of the franchise's best entries and it definitely gets right some of those things that the previous figures didn't quite manage to. If I had a part 3 figure myself though I can't say for sure that I would've gotten this since in a lot of ways it does seem like the same figure but with better paint and then I do have a small preference for the more physically abnormal hunchback part 3 body. ![]() ![]() For visual comparison here it is with the other two: the evolution of hockey mask Jason thus far (3,4, and 6). ![]()

It is a new figure, but basically the same figure (if that makes sense,) with some minor changes to the way the torso, hands and arms were sculpted, along with the paint apps, as Jason's apparently found himself a darker change of clothes on the way back to the camp after Christie put him on ice in part 3. It has more than enough changes to make it an all new figure, but like many of the Freddy figures, the changes in attire and sculpt are so minute that most would miss them unless you're looking for them with the figures side by side.
