Amazon got in a solid restock of the Black Series Fennec so I could finally get one. There's some mild paint slop with the boot stripes but otherwise she looks pretty nice, the details on her hair are particularly well applied. I don't really care for how the strap on her rifle is sculpted, they clearly made it to be slung over her shoulder and nothing else. It sorta works with some action poses as if she's swinging around fast but in pretty much every neutral stance the strap looks wrong. Despite those gripes I still definitely like having this figure.

I absolutely agree, they did the same thing with the color changing Classified Zartan, his rifle strap is also sculpted in the hang from his back position, it just doesn’t look natural when being held.

Some much needed reinforcements for the 212th from Walgreens.

Got my first Mcfarlane DC Figure today. I got the Swamp Thing Megafigure. Swampy looks fantastic. I got him because I got his frenemy John Constantine coming next month. I do wish he had come with more plant accessories and an alt calm head.

Here he is with my Matt Ryan Constantine

I really like Swampy but feel like he's a bit too large. If Todd releases him again and is about 10% smaller I'll buy him (again) very happily. Easily one of the strongest figures in the line.

I really don't get why everyone seems to be incapable of releasing Swamp Thing at a proper scale. Mattel, DC Direct, and MacFarlane all did him wrong despite having great sculpts.

Isn't Swamp Thing capable of being that large though? So it's not like that out of scale unlike if they released a Batman or something at that size?

I should have been more specific. While he is capable of getting larger, he usually stands at 7 feet high unless he is in battle. Every company has been putting him at like the 10 foot mark while the Icons version was too short.

At 10 feet normally, he would be towering over Abby, who is only 5'7" and that is a rarity to see. It also wouldn't work for their relationship.

Typically, I don't collect back issues, because I prefer to spend my money on prints and commissions from comic artists that I like, but I couldn't pass on these issues of Fantastic Four that have been autographed by Walt Simonson (his signature is inside the comic, like the orange sticker says, lol) and Paul Ryan.

Sure, Ryan gets a LOT of heat over designing The Invisible Woman's skimpy 90's uniform, but aside from that, he is, IMO, an entirely under-appreciated artist, who deserves a place in the pantheon of Marvel's definitive 90's artists. He's definitely among my top 5 favorite 90's Marvel artists, along with Andy & Adam Kubert, Jim Lee, and Mark Bagley.
That Watcher is one of the best premium figures ever made- just standing there watching!

And yeah, Ryan was a true great! Loved his run on Iron Man where he designed the kickass (second) Space Armor for the Galactic Storm crossover.

We need a figure of THAT armor!

Of all of my Marvel Select figures, The Watcher just might be my favorite
The new Immortal Hulk comes close, because his design and awesome articulation make him, ostensibly, a scaled-up Marvel Legends figure.
The Watcher is especially impressive since his design has held up REALLY well for a figure that was originally released nearly two decades ago. Until a friend reminded me recently, I had forgotten that he was originally released in 2005 !

It makes me so happy to find someone else who appreciates Paul Ryan's art ! As much as I love his F4 art, it pains me to admit that I've never read any of his Avengers or Iron Man stuff, but I'm definitely going to add them to my "must-read" list !

EDIT : Damn, it just occurred to me that my profile pic, of Franklin Richards, is from one of Ryan's issues of Fantastic Four !

Some Target pickups. I'd actually seen the battle damaged City Hunter before but there were other priorities at the time so this store restocking him was a nice second opportunity. I do have some complaints such as the hole in his lower left leg from where the net launcher was on the standard version and fairly loose elbow joints but overall he's a great looking figure that handles mostly well. He has a solid assortment of accessories but I do think NECA should've included his medical kit. Finally I quite like how cleanly his forearm plugs in, which permits displaying him a little less battle damaged.

I also saw the Spartan Collection Jorge all by his lonesome. I've come across all of the previous Noble team figures they'd done but I always knew Jorge and Carter were the only two I'd bother picking up. Compared to other figures in the line Jorge is appropriately huge, at least in terms of bulk. The only other figure in this line I've gotten was the series 1 Master Chief because I had a coupon and while I was generally pleased with it the paint was unimpressive, Jorge on the other hand just plain looks good. He doesn't sport collector line paint apps like I might expect from NECA or McFarlane but the UNSC emblem on his chest is really nicely printed and his overall weathered look is well represented. His heavy machine gun on the other hand is flatly colored but overall it still gets the job done. All in all I'm very happy with this figure given the $20 price and I'm pretty sure this isn't just bias for my favorite Spartan.

The past week has been a perfect storm of Pink Rangers !
Pretty good week for Marvel Legends too

It all began when Hasbro Pulse announced their 40% off sale, and I finally decided to pick up the Rogue & Pyro 2-Pack.

A little while later, Big Bad Toy Store MIRACULOUSLY announced that the rumored re-release of the Lightning Collection figure of Kimberly was actually in stock !
Now that I finally had the opportunity to add her to my collection, I had to play catch-up on all of the other Pink Rangers that I wanted, but had begrudgingly passed on since I didn't have the version of Kimberly that I wanted the most.
I immediately ordered the April & Michelangelo MMPR/TMNT 2-Pack at 40% off from Pulse (since April briefly replaced Kimberly in the crossover comic). Unfortunately, that set hasn't arrived yet, and I was too impatient for it to arrive before taking this pic.

Next, I swung by Target for the newly-released Pink Ninja Ranger, and then went to a couple of GameStops and snagged the cel-shaded Pink Ranger and the Ranger Slayer. I even found a $10 Morlun at one of the GameStops !

It was such an amazing coincidence that BBTS would restock Kimberly, just as Pulse was putting Pink Ranger April & Yellow Mikey on sale, all while my local Targets were finally stocking Ninja Kimberly ! Like I said earlier, it was a perfect storm of Pink Rangers !

I like your pic of morlun looking rather deviously at the pink rangers is especially funny.

Yeah, Morlun looks like he is saying, "Excellent," as he stares at the pink rangers.
