Found the Black Series RotJ 40th anniversary Gamorrean Guard at Target. It's the same figure as before except perhaps for some passive paint differences, and obviously the new retro cardback packaging. It looks to me like the painted accents around the eyes are a little darker/duller this time around, I passed on the last one because those accents seemed brighter and pinker on the few I found so I guess they fixed that, but otherwise I can't speak too much to what else might be different. Some people were able to wait out the last one going to clearance but that sold out fast at full price in my area so I didn't want to risk it with this release and just bit the unnecessary "deluxe" bullet but I'm glad I was able to finally add one of these guys to my 6" collection.

I never got the original Moonstone and she looks amazing. Sallah looks SO MUCH better than the previews including the box art, it's actually a decent likeness to John Rhys-Davis which makes me more hopeful about the awful looking Short Round likeness. Wicket is nice and Avarona is Mythic Legions usual phenomenal standard.

Retro Lady Jaye

Not one for repaints that are barely different, but she was warming the pegs at my nearest Walmart & I could use another GI Joe stand so I got her. Honestly, I don't regret it. I noticed the hole in the Retro Jaye's foot is in her heel instead of her toes like the regular release.

The heel holes make the Retro Lady Jaye more centered on the character stand than the regular release.

The regular release Lady Jaye's backpack provides good storage space for the spear tip you don't use.

Here's Lady Jaye with her husband, Flint.

That's another the Retro Jaye doesn't come with an alternate hair piece so if you have the regular Jaye you can give the Retro Jaye her hair if you want her without a hat.

The best way to beat repackers go to an EntertainMART, Movies & Trading Co., or Vintage Stock where their items have "New" & "Used" stickers on them to indicate if an item was tampered with.

I'm pleased with the results.

Comparing these with the Toybiz versions, yeah, the Hasbro figures are better.

The funny thing is the comic Bizarro came with has art by Ed McGuinness which I just so happen to have DC Direct figures of Superman & Bizarro sculpted to reassemble his artwork.

Invincible & Omni-Man figures

I wish the attachments to make Invincible & Omni-Man fly were stronger they can barely dismount. The figures are amazing the stands could use some work.

I do love they come with baseball and mitt hands so I can recreate their game of catch.

Went on a road trip today, hoping to score at some stores I'd not been to in a year. Unfortunately there was not much to be found, no classified series or neca. Everything was really picked over.

I did stumble across this DC multiverse Penguin at a Target, on a display of clearance toys that was in the men's clothing department for some reason. At that price I thought "why not?". I'm glad I got him, he's a cool figure.
