Personally i dont think $9 is that bad for probably the BEST 3.75 inch figure out there, regardless of brand or characters, the actual Joe figures have superior articulation, better sculpting, better accessories, and are made from a much better plastic than the one that is used for the MU line. Il never understand why Hasbro dont just introduce basic 3.75 body types built off the same spec as the Joe figures for all their lines,it makes no sense to have a line like SW still using 1980s articulation such as the "T" crotch(see the new Darth Malgus figure),yet a line like GI Joe (which seems to be aimed more and more at niche collectors)is running out figures with articulated ankles, wrists etc. The MU line is the same....why are they STILL using those ridiculous hip joints that NO-ONE seems to be able to work?? And the Quality Control issues?? My Scarlet spidey's leg FELL OFF the minute i opened the blister!!! My (first) Juggernaut had two right arms!!not to mention all the improperly fitted together arm/leg joints, and deformed legs iv seen due to shoddy worksmanship in the packing factory,so yes Joes are pricier than MU,but you DO get a much better standard of figure for the extra cost...

There was also a really bad band who's "big song's" chorus was a guy groaning over and over.

..and I don't have enough Joes to really say, but my small experience with them is that they're pretty high quality in terms of paint, detail, and consistency. I like them.

About the only thing I got this week were two new Marvel MegaBloks minifigs (Series 2 Thor and Loki). Pics tomorrow, hopefully.
I also "got" HFTD Windcharger from Amazon, but it's currently sitting at my in-laws house waiting for me. Once I have that, I will finally have a complete set of ROTF/HFTD Scouts. Can't wait to finally check that off my list. Quote:

$9 is getting rough for these little guys (MU is there now too), but if they either come with the slew of accessories that Joes do, or have the articulation of a Marvel Universe Cable/Cyclops/Dr. Strange, then I'm ok with it.

First pic is the haul from today.
![]() ![]() Don't think I posted the second. I'm not sure if anybody knows about this or not on toyark, but I'm trying to figure out the differences between the two batmobiles other than the different cards, like is the card thing a variant or something? I just got both of them because I just like batmobiles Last edited by FancyPants; 01-18-2012 at 09:54 PM.. |

So Symbiote grabbed Heavy Load for me for my birthday knowing damn well that it would open pandora's box for me because I'd have to get the rest. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUT OF THE TRANSFORMERS GAME!
lol, but seriously, if anything was going to be worth getting back to transformers it was definitely these guys. Have the last two on order and just waiting TFsource to receive them from the supplier so they can ship. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Picked up minimates Dante vs Deadpool. Thinking about going back and getting the Minimates Zero vs Magneto.
After that, the only other ones I want are Viewtiful Joe, and then the Felicia vs X-23 pack. |

They're a little more than Encore Dev... like $500 more. Each Con is $100. Definitely a killer looking set though.

Magneto I don't really want... But considering how my collection focuses on armored heroes like Ironmna, warmachine, dynamo, titanium man, and armored cap, magneto seems like the perfect villian choice for that display. xD Last edited by Snowflakian; 01-19-2012 at 07:52 AM.. |

zero/magneto is a great set. Zero is just so well done and magneto has awesome accessories. I have the iron man arthur one as well. I can't figure out wtf to do with his giant cannon. I'd have gotten haggar and hulk, but the hulk looked awful. I got the hulk from the pack with ironman first appearance

I'd be all over it if I had the bankroll for something like that. Sadly it'd wipe out my marvel and transformer figure budget for an entire year.
I love me some minimates, but I'm trying to keep my purchases at a minimum of them. Only armored guys and X-Force plus anything X-23... Then it grew because of capcom. I can't pass up Darkstalkers or Megaman minimates! They can get pretty spendy, and are almost the cost of a MU figure, so that's why I stopped getting these guys. They do have a great variety though, almost better than the MU line. |

If you count differences in packaging as variants, then yes it's a variant. But only some HW collectors seem to be interested in the half-cards. Or at least that's been my experience. In fact, I've heard that some complain about it, since they doesn't match the majority of HW releases. All that aside, I have one opened on my desk at work right next to my TAS and '66 Batmobiles. I'm a sucker for any 1/64" HW Batmobile. ![]() QFT.

Nothing different about the cars themselves, just the cardback is different. Some stores use a more compact peg/board system than Walmart and Target (the smaller grocery stores/chains in my area are like this) and the smaller backs let them put more product in the same amount of space.

When you hang it up it kinda flies forward. I don't like it. I saw a weird 2 pack at a walmart the other day. It was a 1989 movie style batmobile paired up with a batman-esque monster truck. I should have gotten it. My son would have loved the monster truck. No idea why I passed. Haven't seen that pack since You'll see one guy in one frame of a movie for a fraction of a second, six months later he's THE guy to get. |

I've got an MOC BTTF car on a regular card, if you're interested. Shoot me a PM.
As for the nanosecond cameos in SW and the instant fandom that erupts around them, I blame the novels/comics. They tend to take any character that Lucas didn't explicitly cover in the films and fill in all kinds of backstory. It's why Dengar went from some fatass mummy wannabe in ESB to a bad-ass bounty hunter that ends up saving Boba Fett's life (Tales of the Bounty Hunters collection).
