Pricing seems to be even between Wal-Mart and Best Buy so it comes down to what you want for your library. I liked the design of the Best Buy steelbook so I went with that. If 3D isn't a big deal and you want the graphic novel then the Wal-Mart version will probably be just fine.
Do the 3D movies fit into the steelbox? Usually the cases are a little bigger for 3D cases.

I went to the Disney store and they had all of marvel legends series 2 on clearance for 9.99! They had at least 3 sets and had multiples of every character. I bought my brother a Big time Spiderman and a Drax and i bought another fantomex and Bucky cap so i have enough parts to complete both Zola's. My gfs brother bought a masked Daken and let me have the arm. I've never seen this many marvel legends anywhere it was awesome. Also bought the new Miles Morales and lizard movie figures and a thundercracker not shot. Oh yeah and a knex blind bag Diddy Kong.

I got a couple gems today in the mail. Custom half phasing vision from fellow arker (help me out here I forgot. so sorry)

I think it was 1andonly1. I seriously love ths figure. He looks better than the one that's a hundred dollars. I'd have to be stupid to buy one with this guy. I have a flight stand reserved for him.

Got my motorcycle i've wanted forever. Ebay had them for like 30+, Wont do that. but 12.99 free shipping....deal!

Uhg cannot find it. I got it to use with Cap also, but from the Marvel Project comic series. First appears riding his bike, jumping out of a warehouse onto the docks or something.

I remember reading on Twitter there was a legal spat between Disney/Buena Vista along with Marvel and a briefcase manufacturer that claimed likeness infringement so the release of the set was delayed. There's been talk that it may not even be released at all.

The Best Buy steelbook I picked up yesterday contained a $10 Sideshow Collectibles coupon plus you get a $7.50 credit toward the purchase of the film in-store. The case itself has a nice design, colored in black, has a nice Avengers logo on the front and has a prominent SHIELD logo on the back. Inside the case you'll find a copy of the artwork that's on the 3D release of the film in a panoramic style. It was first come first served and could only be purchased in-store. There was a blurb about it on their website but that has since been removed.

The Wal-Mart exclusive is the standard Blu-Ray/DVD combo release that is being released with a 100 page graphic novel but doesn't have the 3D version of the film included. Since I plan to be upgrading to 3D soon and have the recent 3D Marvel releases (excepting Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance) this particular exclusive wasn't an option for me.

Pricing seems to be even between Wal-Mart and Best Buy so it comes down to what you want for your library. I liked the design of the Best Buy steelbook so I went with that. If 3D isn't a big deal and you want the graphic novel then the Wal-Mart version will probably be just fine.
Thanks for that info! I could have sworn that Walmart had a 10 disc collection as well and it came with a mock up displayable Arc chest piece. Any who, there's also a Walmart set that comes with the 3D Blu-Ray, 2 Disc Blu-Ray, soundtrack and some other stuff. Here's a link:
Marvel's The Avengers (3D Blu-ray + 2-Disc Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + Music) (Widescreen): Blu-ray : Walmart.com. I think the steel case is cool, but what are the odds of me finding it now? I could pre-order either of the Walmart versions, but I'm not sure if the graphic novel is worth it. I'd prefer the 2 disc set along with the 3D one... I guess I just decided on which to buy lol. Are any other companies offering other pre-order deals on the film?

Holy f*ckballs. I never thought of going to the Disney store for anything other than MS. I totally forgot that they might have the Mile Morales fig there! Wait, which Miles? 3.75" or 6"? Either way, tomorrow's destination is the Disney store!

You won't find the 6'' Miles anywheres but Walmart as both Spidey figures and the Lizard are all Walmart exclusives. You may however find ML figures, MS figures and possibly MU figures as well there, seeing as they own Marvel and all. I don't have a disney Store in my province, but looking at online selection they normally have MS,MU,and now ML.

Yeah, I'm just hoping to find Miles MU figs there, not the ML sized ones.

Nope, the TRU off the Mopac had some Wave 19 last week, but no good LCS, just TRU, Target, Wal-Mart, and HEB.

LOL, Andre is the "doctore" of my stable of Gladiators (hopefully you've seen Spartacus). I wanted to see how they lined up size-wise then that pic happened.

@LM - That XF set-up is fantastic. I can't wait to get my ML Deadpool.

My understanding is yes, they will fit into the steelbook. Basically you're just transplanting the discs from one case to the steelbook.

You're welcome. Target is offering an exclusive release with an additional disc that has more video supplements that I'm assuming are about the film. It's a few dollars higher at $32.99.
